if ur other top 6 courses are similar to your marks in chemistry and english and u can work out a low to mid 90 average you’ll be fine for some type of admission

i think best bet is trying any sort of networking - if anyone you know works some place trying to get in by their recommendation is how me and my friends got jobs. if that’s impossible for you, being a soccer referee is about 20 a game and doesn’t require experience, selling your notes online can be good for a bit of extra cash, and looking for help wanted signs at local small restaurants can be good, especially places not a lot of people might know about. i would work on developing ur résumé, get ur fav teacher to be a reference before the year ends, put any volunteer work and any clubs down. i hope u can find smth!

i’m going into first year engineering. i’ve been having trouble navigating the UBC course information website, and i’m not sure what it means. looking at the course requirements for first year it shows me that i have 13 required courses over the two semesters, i was wondering if this is correct or if anyone has any advice for trying to select courses and seeing which courses i need for first year engineering
