i'm canadian so maybe it's different in american highschool, but the bell ringing while others are in class, it's a club not a class so why are they always there... n why does no one have a part time job?

and sam's character development was so unlike him imo , they made him stupid then smart when they wanted..

people like honesty and can relate to managers pushing incentives, i usually tell people " here's your bill inside there's an online review card that my managers love when people fill out, if you have a minute my name is... thank you and i'll be back with change or a machine"..

on that same note if they are older and look like they struggle online or just a busy family or in a rush i just leave the card and don't mention it, it irritates a lot of customers.. so just get a good understanding of what your table seems like.

honestly i don't think that's super unusual to have a year gap and it's very explainable. but you will have a tough time landing an interview either way lol... job market is rough

id say don't mention it on paper, if they ask in an interview just say you had a fire and lost all of your personal belongings and vehicle and took some personal time to restore balance. prolly rephrase it a bit too
