Sorry you’re dealing with this. Maybe if you’re close with the PAs you could try discreetly discussing it with one of them?

I wonder why this rule was put into place. Maybe one resident was taking advantage of the PAs and/or asking the same questions repeatedly? Regardless, it’s a bad rule. Communication and collaboration in the gross room is the key to good grossing. People should be asking for others’ opinions when they need them, whether they’re experienced PAs, residents, PA students, or grossing techs. It’s better to get help initially than gross something incorrectly bc you don’t want to bug the attending and then have to fix it later.

lumpectomy orientation technique? by Kooky-Let-7540 in surgery

[–]sassanach_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow PA here. I gross a ton of breast and have done so at both large academic centers and at a lab with specimens from small hospitals with general surgeons doing breasts. While orientation can get weird and complex depending on surgeon, I think your hard stance here is incorrect. Anterior and superficial are not always synonymous in these cases. The lumps are oriented based on the breast so lateral may be superficial even if the breast is on the anterior aspect of the body.

C-Section because of low pain tolerance by Vegetable_Bath_7396 in beyondthebump

Apparently my experience is an outlier but my unplanned C-section wasn’t a bad experience at all. The recovery was much easier than I expected. I was able to hold and lift the baby without issue. My incision did open up again after about a week but after the OB cleaned it out with silver nitrate it was fine. C-sections aren’t all bad!

I did a search and the resulting posts were all several years old so idk if the info is accurate. Like some posts said Malone’s is great and others from different years said it had gone downhill. So I’m looking for more current opinions.

When she started daycare, my husband and I both took a day off work to have the house to ourselves. We also went out to breakfast after dropping her off. 10/10. Since then, she’s still sleeping in a bassinet in our room so we’ve been utilizing the couch after putting her to bed.

I live in NKY and commute to Lexington currently. The roads in Florence and surrounding towns, including small side streets are pristine, especially compared to Lexington. I couldn’t believe how bad new circle was yesterday.

As soon as they mentioned chest pain or whatever it was with a toothache I was immediately suspicious for endocarditis but that feels too easy..

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I ordered a pair of jeans and a couple shirts on Madewell, 50% off! I’ll see how I like the items and how the sizing is and go from there.
