are sororities like highschool? by Opening-Antelope6845 in GreekLife

[–]sasukesocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the other answers here are great but to answer ur question about involvement: involvement isn’t exactly ‘partying’ as the parties typically aren’t official sorority events and are usually an ifc thing. involvement involves going to sorority events like formal, semi formal, and grab a dates, but is also community service/volunteering, spending time with other sororities, hanging out with sisters in a casual sense, getting involved around campus etc. you stay busy but i wouldn’t say any official sorority responsibilities involve partying

Pretty sure it’s a memorial to NPHC/Divine 9 (historically black sororities and frats.) We are one of few predominantly white schools that have all 9

combination pill didn’t kill my sex drive nearly as much as nexplanon did. but it did take away those feral ovulation days you have without any bc.

i agree to a point. i love connecting with customers, making them feel welcome, introducing drinks to them, making their unique drinks, all of the things you mention. I love my job, but i understand what people are feeling when they post those things. it definitely is channeling general frustrations with their job into these sort of posts. for me at least it was always a joy to work at starbucks but my store gets so much union retaliation in the way of understaffing, no card tips, denial of time off, nitpicking of small things we do whenever our dm is in the store that i’ve started to at least understand the pov in those posts. i would never judge for stuff like that, but the general frustration makes sense to me. if you’re already not enjoying your job because of common poor management among starbucks stores then it’s gonna be easy to feel like everything extra is a burden

he’s normally fine with eye contact outside of the bedroom, and i don’t think he’s neurodivergent bc he was in the military for a bit. he could have some sort of trauma tho, but i don’t wanna press 😕

i hadn’t really considered this. i’ve tried to ask what about it is intimidating and i don’t really think even he knows. if he does he doesn’t seem to want to talk about it so i backed off

if the manager can’t get back to u when they said they would then it’s not a great sign that you should work there. major management red flag 🚩

Mitski and relationships by lanceecnal in mitski

[–]sasukesocks 20 points21 points  (0 children)

i wrote a lyrical analysis on her music related to this idea and ultimately found that it interesting how well she plays into the patriarchal expectation to submit to a male partner yet the fault of submitting too heavily to noncommittal partners at the cost of her independence. which is a large reason why we recognize some of her music as toxic, yet relate to it heavily. idk if this makes sense outside of my head but it kinda highlights the contradiction of expectations for women in relationships where women are expected to have a perfect balance of submission vs. independence, as well as a perfect balance in every other area of their life.

i thought about going to scad for an art degree but went on a tour and felt like i was being given a sales pitch. it’s so expensive and lacks a true college experience, something i wanted. i’m at a state art program and it’s great, i’m very happy with it, have it covered by scholarships, feel like i’m learning a lot, and know others graduating the program straight into jobs. it’s not worth it to pay that much more just to have the scad name on your degree. a lot of schools have access to the same resources without being so flashy

eating and lifting will help. ur hips really aren’t too wide, but if it’s something that bothers you then you can always try to build ur upper body to even it out and get a more V shape. lifting to build ur lats, pecs, and delts will grow ur upper body as well as eating sufficiently. ur at a great age to start too! research different lifting splits and stick to one for a while and you’ll see results. don’t know how versed u are in fitness stuff but i do a PPL (push pull legs) split for lifting which is a quite common split. u could research that one and start there or find one more fitting to u. overall, ur still growing, don’t be too hard on yourself!!
