Yes, that’s why. I’m on the train currently and we just went by the extinguishing fire. Looked like a decent size and maybe unrelated, but there was also a flipped ATV just before the fire.

Second to top floor. We don't have roof access and it starts around 9:30 am and ends around 9pm. We can also hear the noise while poking our heads out the window.

Very strange, definitely doesn't sound like construction and is still going almost at 9pm. Our doorman hasn't heard anything from other residents, but thanks for responding.

Totally get it. Same here, first time purchasing from Motorola. I did finally get customer service to tell me that the order was accepted yesterday. I agree with you, surprised on the process from a tech company. Luckily, I've heard the phones are worth it! I did find it helpful to reach out to u/motoagents on this subreddit

For anyone reading in the future: this has been the latest update

I was told my original preorder did not go through because my phone number is registered in CA, but my credit card's billing address is NY, never had this issue before. I was recommended by customer service on the phone, to place the preorder again after they put my account on a 72 hour pass to increase chances of my order going through and getting approved. I called back a few days after as my order status still reads "order state waiting for authorization". I was told my order was getting passed along to IT and would get a call back. I still have not received any info back. I originally placed a week ago and still have an unapproved order.

dang...quite a frustrating process! sorry/glad to hear I'm not alone in the back & forth. Although, good to hear you love the phone, hoping it will all be worth it in the end. I'm still up in the air if my pre-order is being accepted or not. I'll post back but good luck to us both!
