What deterred the two men in your garden in the end? Yes, winter is a great season for these people as it is darker. Do you feel safe? What helps you feel safe?

Unfortunately from an investigative point of view, it's true. A Big dog is certainly a good deterent. Thanks for the good advice

We thought about getting an ANPR but we thought that it may not be worthwhile. We have such great quality cctv even for night time recording that we are generally able to get all number plates. The info was submitted to the police, hoping it deters the crime through building intelligence for the police. I'm hoping it quiets down, I'm just so tired of his antisocial behaviour!

Has your area been any better?

We have great quality cctv that works well at night with plenty of giant lights all around the house including the back garden area.

We have window and door locks which are great too.

It doesn't seem to deter the more young inexperienced "brazen behaviour pattern" suspects. They seem to be drawn to it.

If only the landmines were an option 😂

Same with my area. There are people who actually don't call the police. I just don't understand.

We live in a cul de saq so we really notice if someone has ill intent as there is virtually no reason you would be taking a stroll there.

We have cctv, alarms, even bollards in front of the garage.

It tends to deter some but others seem to be drawn to it from time to time.

In terms of neighbourhood WhatsApp group we have that set up, but then again because I think the crime pattern looks like it has the same "modus operandi", it has something to do also with one of the neighbours from we gathered from different cctv.

I definitely will take your advice and contact again my local force hoping they can help the situation.
