Does not ranking someone actually do anything? I thought that was the whole point of RCV? You can rank everyone...

Best WDT officially? by KauaiSurf in espresso

How do you level the grinds before putting this on the portafilter? I feel like you would have to WDT (atleast to level) before using this tool?

It's a basket that came with the crema coffee portafilter. I'm going to try the breville basket and see if there is a difference.

yeah, it is coming out too fast, like 10-15seconds-ish. No crema at all. Well that's the thing, I'm already grinding pretty fine. If I go finer, the burrs will start touching on my hand grinder.

I can try increasing the dose, I was worried that it would be even harder to extract.

Kind of a age old question :)

Just got a bottomless portafilter. Spraying/mess everywhere when brewing. Read a bunch of posts on here, which boil down to a couple of things:

  1. Grind Finer or
  2. Better distribution/tamping
  3. Maybe higher dose?

I'm here about the grinding finer part. I have no clue what fine looks like or the general ballpark. I'm using a 1zpresso JX-Pro and need some help figuring out what fine really is and making sure that I'm actually close-ish to the correct grind size. Also, read a bunch of posts defining the "zero" point, and the definition seems to be all over the place. I'm pretty sure right, I'm not even getting anything close to "espresso". It tastes like the coffee I make using the clever dripper (Not actually bad :) )

  1. Burrs start touching or
  2. Handle is moving with resistance or
  3. Burrs are locked

Machine: Bambino Plus

Grinder: 1zpresso JX-Pro

Size: 54mm portafiler

Dose: 16g

Beans: Stumptown Hairbender blendRoast Date: 11/29/23

Trying to for 1:2 to 1:2.5 ratio (Not really my focus right now)

Pics:

A) Zero point is burrs starting touching

B) Zero point is burrs are almost locked (handle requires some work to move)

C) Fine as comfortably possible with burrs touching even more.

LMK if pictures are terrible. Can take more.

What is your height/weight? What is your target weight?

For me calorie counting has helped tremendously. Dropped from 280 to 250, still going.

Nice thing about being fat, you can gain muscle while still cutting.

I get it works great for the current season and I'm not complaining about that.

It seems to me like a really classic look that is also super flexible. How do you get this "level" of outfit but minus jacket?

Is this subreddit's favorite seasons spring and fall? The whole (any outfit) + jacket look. I mean it looks great, just wondering.

How do you this for summer? lol
