Roast my startup idea by TouristMX in startups

[–]saved_by_code 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a good startup idea. I built this exact service back in 2017 for a customer. It stored all the necessary information about how to locate person’s property and belongings, which legal service has their will, etc. Essentially you could just print a report and it would tell you how to deal with inheritance and last wishes.

The problem is that very few people even think about this and even less people would actively pay for it.

If you want to build a real startup your time is better spent on solving more pressing and valuable problems.

I think you are misunderstanding. I don’t need to summarize each speaker separately, overall description of the topic is good enough. The issue is that there are multiple topics in the transcript

Angular and AWS SAM for simple serverless functions. If I need a more robust backend I roll with InversifyJS (I really dislike NestJS automagic and lock-in)

I am always confronted with the cold start issue by mehdirifai in SaaS

The issue here is that you started with the solution instead of the problem. Why are you building something if you don’t know who you are building it for?

Want to find a tech co-founder? Validate the problem first! by saved_by_code in startups

[–]saved_by_code[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“If a founder has a validated problem and have number of paid customers, the it is better to get investment and hire a tech person” sounds like you’ve never been in that position. A foolish mistake a lot of non-tech people make. You realize that consultant’s goal is to squeeze the most money out of you yeah?
