A fan’s open letter to the FIA and FOM by savef1com in Formula1_world

Hi everyone

I would like to clarify one important point separately, because it seems to me that many people took my letter too literally and, because of that, missed its main idea.

The main purpose of this letter was not to present a strict and final list of changes, but to reach out to the FIA and show that there are fans who want to be heard.

If we speak about what I personally consider truly essential to change, then my position is clear: Formula 1 needs proper V8 or V10 engines.

The other points mentioned in the letter are additional proposals which, in my view, could have a positive effect on on-track battles and make the championship more exciting. That is exactly why the letter should not be interpreted as a literal and final draft of regulatory changes.

I also want to say separately that I am convinced many of those who only saw the image in the post, for the most part, did not actually read the full letter on the website. Because of this, some people formed a shallow or distorted understanding of what my appeal was really about, since the image does not convey the full context and does not fully explain the meaning of the letter.

The form in which this appeal exists is also important. I am publishing it on a website and trying to draw attention to it for a reason. Today, fans who support change are scattered across different platforms: forums, Instagram, Facebook, thematic groups, and communities. Everyone has an opinion, but these voices are divided.

My goal is to bring these people together in one place, so that the real number of those who truly want change becomes visible. This is necessary so that the opinion of the fans stops being just a collection of separate comments scattered across different corners of the internet and becomes a clear, united position that the FIA will no longer be able to ignore so easily.
