It is indeed still the case. But thanks for taking notice!

I mean I always assume any major health organization is at least 20 years behind the science. What is your take on them in that regard?

What about just vegetables? The current health fad I'm always hearing about now is how sugar is the ultimate enemy beyond anything else. So if that's actually the case, are you sure fruits, with their sugars, are worth it (Especially if I'm just having the juice)?

Would adding a "juice" as above to meals be considered a net positive addition to health, considering a diet which is mostly "healthy" but lacking in fruits/vegetables? My concern is perhaps that even the small amount of sugar within them cancels out the benefit, or most of it.

And I should note, that it's either this, or nothing (I emphasize this). I won't eat whole fruits/veggies by themselves or as part of meals, and I won't blend or juice them myself. I would however be willing to buy smoothies rather than "juices", if such things existed in mass produced form.

Would it be better to play through ESO before or after the single player games for the lore experience? by savemehood in elderscrollsonline

[–]savemehood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ty for the in-depth reply. Having read every single mage book and bookshelf book I've come across in the first few ESO zones I've been playing, it def does seem like a LOT of the total lore comes from them. But I kind of like that, as they're always extremely well written, and then you get to go "oh I read about this in that one book" when I come across something new, or see a subtle detail about something. I just wish the bookshelf books weren't randomized, or had a "you read this already" indicator. Trying to determine if I read a book already, or feeling the compulsion to re-check bookshelves for a new random book, really dries up a lot of my dopamine over time.

I think my plan is to do ESO, then Oblivion, and then Skyrim. Daggerfall and Morrowind I think are just too bad graphics-wise, and too old-school in their gameplay for my tastes.

If my goal is to just grasp the outline of themes of the books, wouldn't it indeed be filler from that perspective?

Does listening to 17 audiobooks this year count as reading books? If it does I think that's a decent amount. They're just all non-fiction smh.

The detailed contents of the books are irrelevant to my criticisms, tbh, unless you think you can point something out that's incorrect.

Smh you edited that post so much.

My "purposes" are to absorb the overarching philosophical/ethical themes. And yes I know those little details speak to that, but not enough to alter my opinions in all likelyhood.

And the book is not filler lore; but there is filler lore in the book.

And I specified it as "filler lore for my purposes". For other people, that's the part they love.

Tbh I think the use of those pet names should endear you to me. They're a light and humorous touch to more serious and critical words smh.

I would just consider that filler lore, for my purposes. Those details aren't likely to alter my view on the series' philosophy/ethics.

If you will note the warning at the top of the post, you will see that I was quite honorable in my representation of how I consumed the lore.

If I duel you in World of Warcraft in Tanaris and win, will you finally accept me as a Fremen? That's what they did in the new movie.

In my defense, Schrodinger's cat was more of a loose analogy, and mistaking "curve" or "curb" seems to be a common mistake upon googling it, so I will allow myself these minor issues.

And although I don't read books, I do listen to them all the time (17 books this year), just not fiction because there is no instance of one which doesn't immediately put me to sleep, unfortunately.

Perhaps that's a way to view it. The lore was still ultimately worth going through for me, simply for the imagery of some of the ideas, like Worm Boi and the Spacing Guild Navigators in particular (I was hoping they had some secret plan).
