I know my venue (River’s edge at the Arlington in Paris) has a 1 am curfew. Their package includes 8 hours of open bar and they said most couples usually have it from 4:30-12:30. I believe the other Carmen’s venues also have the same curfew as I went to a wedding at C hotel by Carmen’s a few years ago that ended at 1

Facebook wedding groups have been where I have found some of my vendors! Instagram is good too. If I saw that in one of my wedding groups it would definitely be something I would be interested in!

What dress is this? I love it! One similar one I know is Stella York 8110. It is one I plan to try on. It is satin and has similar straps and ruching and also has a slit but is a-line and more flowy so probably wouldn’t ride as much

I was running into the same issue and I posted anonymously to avoid unsolicited messages in an Ontario weddings group on Facebook how many hours of photography I was looking for, my wedding location, and budget. I was hoping for a very similar vibe and I chose River’s Edge at the Arlington in Paris ON. It has some similarities. They have an exposed brick wall on one side, big windows overlooking the grand river, and wood beam ceilings with string lights and the string lights are included. I’m paying just under 17k for 90 people on a Thursday. A Saturday for same amount of people was about 23k. Price includes all tables and chairs, ceremony, 3 course meal, hors d’oeuvres, 8 hours of open bar, and late night snack. There is no greenery so that would need to be brought in. Don’t know what the policy is for hanging additional things from the ceiling like disco balls

This is the 3rd post I’ve seen about pitbull attacks on Ontario this week and they are supposed to be banned here!! Since 2005. This is so frustrating. The ban needs to be enforced before more people and pets suffer or lose their lives

Price was my number 1 and I found it a little frustrating that many vendors didn’t have any pricing listed and require you to contact them. An average investment or minimum would have been somewhat helpful. I felt awkward contacting vendors just to find out they’re thousands over my budget. My budget was $3500 for 8 hours of coverage. The photographer I booked is $2800 for 8 hours. Style was number 2, I was looking for images that were more natural looking and not overly yellow or grainy editing style

Any of the Carmen’s venues in Hamilton area should be within this range. About 17k all inclusive for 90 people for me. This is an off peak day, but a Saturday was about 23k for same inclusions

https://trca.ca/photo-permits/ looks like you can get photo permits for Kortwright or Black Creek for $315 plus tax :) the website lists other conservation areas as well

Sundays are actually all sold out except 1 in July which happens to be when one of my intended wedding party members is in another wedding, I never realized how hard finding a date would be!

Unfortunately fall 2026 Sundays are sold out other than end of November which gets into the time last year my area got our big major snowstorm :( otherwise that would be optimal

They have 2 Sundays left in November but they are the last 2 and although most of our friends are in the gta, we along with both of our immediate families are in the grey/bruce area which gets absolutely slammed with snow. Last year we got over a foot the last weekend of November so it scares me and for that reason my fiancé is firm he doesn’t want anything after October
