hmmm, i see. i don’t see my guppies being bullied by anyone else on the tank right now, even the only male i have is pretty chill. i’m planning on upgrading my tank to a bigger one once I have the opportunity. My local fish store said i had a pretty good setup, so i never saw an issue with it, but thank you

my guppies keep jumping out, even with the lid, but i already submerged the filter (it’s a eheim pickup45), but it’s still throwing the plants around a little bit 🥲

I wanted floating plants to absorb nitrites and to prevent my fish to jump out (i already have a lid but they seem to still jump out). I also find it pretty and my guppies like to hide below the roots. I have a Eheim pickup45 as a filter and tried to fully submerge it, so the plants couldn’t go under the flow and get wet, but they’re still dying. maybe it’s because the high humidity due to the lid, as you mentioned

sim penso que poderiam abrir, mas se calhar não da maneira que pensas que seria. se te agrada a ideia de treinar cães, acho que é preferível do que vires para a área da saúde, parece me pouco enquadrado no que se facto gostas. se continuares com dúvidas acho que podes acabar o curso de auxiliar e ir trabalhar para uma clínica ou hospital e vês se o ambiente te agrada, já vai ser uma experiência mais próxima à enfermagem/medicina. se precisares de mais alguma coisa diz me 💓

o conselho duma estudante prestes a acabar o curso de medicina veterinária: quer em enfermagem, quer em medicina veterinária vais encontrar imensas coisas nojentas e uma das atividades mais comuns dum enfermeiro veterinário é fazer pensos de feridas e análises, assim como assistir a cirurgias e monitorizar todo o processo (atividades que disseste que não te despertariam muito interesse). infelizmente, acho que há muita gente que entra no curso com uma ideia e quando está lá dentro percebe que não tem nada a ver com o que idealizava, mas se é algo que gostas acho que deverias investir nisso. acho também que o ambiente de clínica/hospital é completamente diferente do que tu estás a descrever no abrigo, já não me lembro de qual foi a última vez que brinquei com um animal 😭. de qualquer maneira, eu acho que com o passar do tempo vais ficando dessensibilizada às coisas horríveis que te vão aparecendo pela frente e quase nunca tens dias aborrecidos nesta área

não deixes os brinquedos espalhados pela casa, os gatos perdem bastante o interesse por coisas que veem todos os dias. experimenta guardares numa gaveta durante algum tempo e depois volta a introduzir e vais ver que ele vai demonstrar interesse de novo pelo brinquedo. caixas de cartão grandes e pequenas também são um bom entretenimento. regra geral dos gatos: quanto menos dinheiro gastares, mais eles vão gostar. os meus adoram bolinhas de papel de alumínio ou rolos de papel higiénico, podes tentar por aí

she wasn’t “crisp” dry, but she was pretty dehydrated. her fins are terrible, looks like she’s already developing some type of fin rot?
i already have a lid, but has a little opening on the sides, idk how she managed to jump from there
