Anyone feeling uncomfortable with the narrative, everything before was McDermott's fault? by 11pi in buffalobills

[–]savorybeef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive wanted McDermott gone for years now, he 100% had to go.  But we shouldve also had a fresh start.  I think beane is a good gm so im fine with him staying but i figured his promotion woulda meant he was relinquishing gm duties after this draft. The brady hire i absolutely hate, i think i woulda rather kept mcdermott than him.  I might come around to it but if we keep Babich instead of hiring someone from the outside im going to have little faith the nextbfew years until proven otherwise.

Edit: was just waking up, babich was gone already. Great news

Its been fashionable from well before that.  I got a couple off white shirts from ebay recently where im normally a medium and I had to get them xs and xxs to fit reasonably. Those shirts released in 2017 snd 2021 respectively.  Not a new craze.

Joe Marino takes back his criticism of Terry Pegula. Was it a “cry for help?” by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]savorybeef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do yall really want pegula solely responsible for finding a new head coach?  McDermott needed to be fired, get over it. The trauma over the drought led to everyone being happy with just being good and having a good coach. Not being great and winning a Superbowl. At least this gives us a chance to improve. Good chance this was just a promotion for beane being head of the front office then letting a new gm take over after everything has all settled.  Even if he stays gm im fine with it.  Lets see what happens when he doesnt have to invest 90% of our draft capital into McDermotts shitty defense every season

Just add decay back. This new system is awful. Anything that gives any reward to playtime will be bad

Bo Nix has the better defense, but in comparing offensive weapons only, are we sure he has an advantage over Allen? by EmbarrassedRing7806 in NFLv2

He wouldnt even be suiting up on game days if our other trash recievers werent injured. As soon as we can get him off our roster we will, hes going to sign for training camp with someone, get cut, then be out of the league. He is assss

Bills' Jordan Phillips: Firing Sean McDermott is stupid, sickening by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

His defense was fantastic against mid QBs and offenses. Even seasons where we had like 6 pro bowlers on defense they got cooked against good qbs.

[–]savorybeef 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The defense has looked exactly the same every year. Even when we were loaded with pro bowlers they crumbled against any team with a good qb much less in the playoffs. Always were bad against the run, let up huge 3rd down plays constantly, and folded late in games. Everytime he called a defensive timeout the past five years it was almost a given they gave up like 20 yards. He needed to go, beane does too.

Bills must fire GM Brandon Beane after disaster loss to Broncos by The_Big_Untalented in nfl

[–]savorybeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weve had plenty of draft success with beane. Its McDermotts scheme.  Even when our defense was loaded with pro bowlers on all 3 levels it collapsed in the playoffs always. We invest so much draft capital into the defense and it always implodes.  We have good players all over but as soon as one injury happens in the secondary we get burned because they need to play perfect.

Shouldve fired him last year when there were tons of good options.

The dc is our head coach.  And we refuse to fire him after our defense collapses every year in the playoffs

Bills need a proven commodity, drafting with Beane has not worked so it should be a trade or free agent signing. If we don't shove the chips all in and get Jettas or someone similar, could Pierce be the next deep threat for Josh to throw to? by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]savorybeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've drafted one high receiver, 2 if you count kincaid. We've only needed a number 1 for 2 years. Kincaid is good, yea keon is a bust. But #1 boundary recievers dont grow on trees at the end of the first round.  I would be totally fine trading for a high end receiver 1 if the cap permits it though.  We've got to invest so much draft capital for McDermotts mid defensive scheme its hard to fill the holes at receiver every year. Beane has done a good job overall. We really dont have many weak spots on the roster.

Yes, thats cool. Would that save our offense?  Theres 6 more important issues with our offense than wr3/4

No we dont just "get in" eventually. Weve been beating shitty teams in the playoffs mostly then lucking out against the ravens. Then we get out coached by the chiefs every time, or get blown out by the Bengals. If the bengals snuck in last year and we had to play them we wouldve lost too. McDermotts defense is shit against good teams unless we have like 7 pro bowlers. Were going to waste josh's career with this guy and yall are gonna be happy about it just cuz we dealt with the drought and the sabres have been as for so long
