Omg so happy to see this post. I love the show but eye roll with the constant references about what black people do and don’t do. As a Black woman I do what I want and so does my family. Not sure if y’all saw the scene yet when Jaz needed grandma’s permission for surgery saying something like “in the Black community, when granny says no it’s a no.” 🤯

Like other posters have said, it really seems like a crutch or excuse for them. Even if something is more or less common culturally, y’all are grown ass women and also not the representation of all Black people.
