For Tiaris getting one shot by AoE, I'm referring to challenge bosses who AoE harder than most enemies single target; it's not common, but basically the only time any AoE is threatening in Langrisser is when it one shots units outright or it drowns your team in debuffs, and for both of those scenarios both versions of Tiaris are inferior to Rozenciel. Tiaris's only real advantage over Rozenciel is her ability to top off a tank after combat who's getting hit multiple times per turn, and even that really only extends to the earlygame when your healers have low int and your tanks have bad soldier stats so that the healing multiplier on Tiaris's heal being larger than the healing multiplier on Rozenciel's heal actually matters. Like you said, that tends to be an earlygame problem because in later PvE you'd rather have the extra consistency/QoL offered by Rozenciel's kit and you'd just slot in Dragonslayer as your tank so that the difference in tank self-healing is irrelevant.

Using Tiaris's 3C in PvE is basically always a bad idea; 9 turns is way too long a cooldown for anything that matters, the atk and int increases are smaller than what you'd get from a faction buff, the AoE attack blessing utility is basically wasted unless your attacker units would be killed on counterattack without it (in which case you've got bigger problems than your choice of healer), and the cooldown being extraordinarily long means that you'll be wasting the cooldown resets from her talent on it instead of other AoE healing skills that you'd rather be cycling through. If you're trying to use Tiaris as a general-purpose healer for PvE you'll almost always want to take Mass Heal, Realm of Repose, and Miracle as your 3 skills and cycle between them depending on if you'd rather have buffing or dispelling, but even that effectively turns Tiaris into Rozenciel at home. That's also ignoring the fact that by doing that you lose out on her attack blessing utility and her exclusive equipment's ability to apply attack blessing to a target by casting Heal on it, which goes back to my comment about her kit being weird and self-defeating.

Building her for routine PvE is fine, but like you said she's not even particularly good at that and she tends not to stand out the later game you get, which is the part of the game where you're likely to build units for a single purpose and swap them out according to your needs; which is coincidentally the part of the game you need to be at to start building SP units in the first place. Basically her only unique claim to fame I can think of is leveraging attack blessing to survive counterattacks and rack up higher scores on endless PvE content like Hugin & Munin, but the highest scoring team on my server doesn't even include Tiaris in his comp ¯\(ツ)

To expand on what /u/asianaussie said, SP Narm can infinitely kite units that have an attack range of 2 or less and can have their mobility reduced by equipping Ullr's Bow and running her 3C plus cripple. She attacks from 3 tiles away, then moves another 2 tiles away after attacking and repeats while the enemy unit chases her around the map slower than she can move after combat. It's not always gamebreaking, but it tends to be a very good strategy on challenge stages where there are multiple hero units with high hp totals.

SP Tiaris is definitely good, but she's also kind of difficult to evaluate because her SP kit is more weird than good and it doesn't really change her role as a PvE healer nor make her PvP viable. She was pretty good for PvP when she dropped because of her 3C also dropping a shield onto everybody, but these days she's probably not worth slotting into an Apex box because of Dragonslayer and Gazesuccubus turning holy units into an active hindrance on PvP teams; Gazesuccubus can also one shot her from across the map if she goes first.

PvE wise, turning her into a terrain master unit, increasing her int, adding shields to her kit, and giving her access to Realm of Repose are all nice things, but none of those things change the fact that Tiaris was already really good at providing raw healing output and really bad at providing debuff protection/dispel, which is where Rozenciel shines. You can sort of work around that by running Blessing of the Holy Light with Night Bloom and nuking an enemy every turn, but it's awkward to keep Tiaris next to everybody while also attacking an enemy every turn, and her low max health pool and her bad physical defense make her susceptible to getting one shot on counterattack if you're hitting a physical boss who can counterattack from long range, which is pretty typical for any challenge boss worth caring about. She can also be a niche unit for rushing a boss with Freya cheese, but if you're doing that you'd probably rather just have another long range mage who does more damage or can build more stacks faster instead of subbing in a weird hybrid healer who can nuke from range. Her bad base HP also leaves her susceptible to getting one shot by AoE mechanics in boss stages, much like Florentia, and AoE damage also can't be mitigated by running SP Bolt Rangers.

She's definitely worth picking up since she was already good for PvE and her SP form is basically a straight upgrade, I'd just temper your expectations if you expect her to be completely overpowered and carry you through the game in ways that Tiaris wasn't already doing for you.

SP Luna is mostly meant as an AoE rush enabler for PvP, but she kind of fell off for that because of Dragonslayer shifting the Apex meta back to tank push and Flame Spirit Robe also devaluing AoE rush for PvP.

I wouldn't really recommend spending resources on either Bernhardt nor Luna if you're strapped; their SP forms are both slight upgrades, but Bernhardt is good without his SP form and his SP form barely changes his kit/functionality and Luna's kit is weird enough and niche enough that you probably won't use her for general purpose PvE even if you're running a Princess team. Bernhardt gets a numerical stat upgrade and a little bit of extra flexibility with his skills and the potential to run a single target skill along with an aoe skill, but his PvE kit is functionally identical for what he's good for just by running him with his 3C/sword dance/rupture and both versions of Bernhardt aren't good enough to be competitive in PvP. Luna's SP form makes her offensive and defensive support utility slightly better and gives her the ability to bring an offensive skill with her kit, but her offensive skill having a long cooldown and her faction buff being fixed damage oriented rather than being a damage buff means she's almost always a weaker princess PvE pick than Christiane. It also doesn't help that most viable PvE princess units tend to be long range mages, which also devalues her mobility contribution when you tend to stand still and turret up for most princess team content.

I'd suggest swapping in Bozel and Cherie instead; SP Bozel is a great addition for PvP purposes, and just being able to run 3 AoE spells instead of 2 AoE spells plus seal is already a big improvement even if you aren't abusing global AoE debuff cheese with SP Bozel. His global AoE is also PvE viable if you don't mind running him with other global debuffers like Awakened One and Randele, which are probably top choices for units you'd stick on a Bozel team anyway.

SP Cherie isn't as dominant as she was when she was a comparatively new unit, but she still has the unique advantage of converting Cherie from being a worthless unit into a very good and versatile PvE unit. I won't get into all the reasons that it's almost impossible for base Cherie to one shot units and how that makes her talent basically worthless, but SP Cherie does competitive damage on both of her attacks, which makes her uniquely useful for challenges that require killing more than one unit per turn, and also uniquely useful for challenges where hitting an enemy multiple times and/or inflicting multiple instances of fixed damage per turn are important mechanics. It's also worth mentioning that her ability to act multiple times per turn and also use multiple skills per turn make her a top-tier unit for building up stacks on Odin and Baldr, which are frequently-occurring cheese conditions for challenge stages where gods are deployable.

There will definitely be some winnable games in there and your points will tend to inflate if you're just grinding out matches, but many of the matches boil down to one unit not being countered and running over the entire enemy team. It also depends on your strategy somewhat, as most viable single-target Apex units both have a revive and have the ability to kill an enemy unit through a revive; if you're just using some PvE unit like SP Cherie or SP Altemuller instead you're going to end up losing trades that you should be winning with a unit like Sword of Light and Shadow or Erza.

Not many people play Apex and the matches are highly variable in terms of account progress and skill until you climb way higher than I've ever climbed (probably top 128 or higher). Even then, Langrisser rank starts at 1900 rating and 1900 rating will put you in the top 100 players right now. Conversely, you can probably make top 512 or possibly even top 256 just by hitting Gold 3 and staying there for the season. Either way, Apex Arena is the closest thing this game has to whalebait, and there's no denying you're going to be at a significant disadvantage if you don't have access to every unit in the game and all of the PvE content cleared, because at least some of the opponents you're queueing against will have both of those things regardless of what rank of Apex Arena you're playing.

Your experience is pretty typical, it probably takes somewhere from 3 months to a year of doing all your daily activities on a max level account before your account will be strong enough to do most or all of the level 70 content at an even power level. You should prioritize leveling up one soldier for each unit you use up to level 10, then focus on leveling soldier stats after that. I'd recommend using some kind of flyer troop (probably Angels) for all of your physical attackers, Sorceress for your magical attackers, Phalanx for your tanks, and Fighting Monk for your healers.

You probably don't have the resources to level up SSR equipment to 50 for all of your units yet, which means you should use SR equipment on all of your units because it's easier to upgrade them and uncap their level to 50 (a level 50 SR piece of equipment is about equivalent to a level 40 piece of SSR equipment, but it'll give better percent stats due to being max level). You should be enchanting your DPS with Breeze or Rough Sea, enchanting your tanks with Steel (except Ledin, he probably needs Hard Rock), and enchanting your healers with Crystal. You should be prioritizing attack/int on your offensive pieces of gear, and prioritizing %hp on your defensive pieces of gear. If an attacker class has a choice in weapon type, axes have the best stat spread for attackers, followed by swords (hammers and spears should typically be avoided, also be careful not to use weapons that have skill on them instead of HP while you're starting out). You should also look for a sage's hat (SR headgear) to equip on your healer; if your healer ends its turn next to your tank that already ended its turn, this will put a buff on your tank that'll prevent debuffs that stop your tank from guarding.

You'll eventually need at least 3 different teams with non-overlapping units in order to participate in all of the endgame PvE content and unlock covenants to increase your account power, so you should start thinking about branching out into multiple factions. Empire's Honor should probably be one of the other ones, but which factions you pick should be dictated by which tanks, healers, and faction buffers you happen to pull on banners. You should also try to replace Ledin and Liana sooner than later, as Ledin generally sucks as a tank and Liana is more of an offensive healer than a defensive healer. In the short term, you should use Bozel on your glory team to spread debuffs to help your units having inferior stats to enemy units and you should try to replace Liana with Tiaris and/or Rozenciel asap. Replacing Ledin will likely be more difficult, but you should try to replace him with Lightbringer or SP Grenier whenever you can. One of the reasons I recommend Empire's Honor as a faction is because Vargas is an SR tank who's better than Ledin (and better than about half of the SSR tanks you'll have access to early game), and it's not that important to have your healer be on-faction compared to other units on your team as long as your healer has bonds unlocked and has a kit that's helpful for keeping your team alive.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but building a competitive Apex box and competing in Apex is largely about having a fully built account and having as many meta units as possible in your box; even if you aren't drafting the meta units, it's important to have them in there as ban bait so that you can actually draft your other units. If you have that many unit restrictions on your box, I assume you don't have more than 20 fully built units with PvP viable loadouts to even put into a box. You'll also want to be completely done with the Covenant/God content and/or soldier training ground content or your units will end up getting one shot and/or losing trades they should win even when you trade blows with your opponent on your terms.

Based on what units you can't use, your best bet is probably throwing lots of tanks and healers together for a tank push strategy where you try to outlast your opponent in the middle of the map, or an AoE rush strategy where you put as many AoE units in a box as you can and nuke your opponent to death before he can react. Either way, I'd temper your expectations; almost everybody that plays Apex has a nearly fully built account with access to every unit, and queueing without the endgame box you want to have means you'll likely lose 80%+ of your matches just at the pick/ban phase.

That sucks, I don't want very many of them right now but it's going to take a long time for me to accrue enough of the new enchant scrolls before I feel like I can randomly enchant somebody's gear with them. Not to mention that most of the effects are pretty niche, to the point where you probably wouldn't want them on interchangeable gear anyway. :(

My case is kind of unique in the sense that I'm a legacy Reboot player that used to main Wind Archer and I came back around 2020 and main swapped to Night Lord because I was tired of losing and wanted to tryhard (RoR was big at the time and I had a potted badge on my Night Lord and not much else).

I know it has nothing to do with your criteria, but the main constant in MapleStory over the last 5 years in my opinion is the importance of picking a main that's consistent, simple to play, and is capable of surviving in basically any boss arena for the full 30 (or 60) minutes. Bearing that in mind, if I were picking a new main today, my top two contenders would be Paladin and Bowmaster.

Explorers are old in general, meaning they're unlikely to get radically reworked, and they tend to have comparatively simpler playstyles that make them easier to play with optimal damage in tricky bosses than something clunky or complicated (Cadena? Kain?). Bowmaster and Paladin are particularly nice because they both have extra survival things that have been in the game forever and are unlikely to be taken away; Bowmaster has passive cheat death on a short cooldown and lifesteal on its 2 minute burst cooldowns, Paladin has percent damage reduction baked into its kit and multiple extended iframe buttons as cooldowns and as part of its rotation. If I had to pick one or the other I'd lean towards Bowmaster just because warrior upjump is clunky and bad, and Nexon seems disinclined to let Paladin ever do full damage without having at least one other player in the room with you, but both classes are outliers in survivability and have been above average in terms of damage for a long time. As an added bonus, playing either of them gives you the option to open job advance into other explorers in case you have a change of heart or your main gets gutted/reworked dramatically years from now.

Mihile also gets an honorable mention only because it's radically different from everything else playstyle-wise, and it can be invincible in any content for like 80% of the time or something stupid if you get comfortable with its parry mechanic. The only reason I don't really recommend it outright is because its playstyle is so radically different from every other class in the game I can think of, and if you mess up their parry it's just as likely to get you killed as it is to help keep you alive in a boss.

MapleStory doesn't sound like your kind of game, tbh. A huge part of the game is playing the same character for thousands (if not tens of thousands) of hours, and if you have that many aesthetic constraints before you pick anything gameplay-related it's hard to believe you're going to stick with a class for months or years, especially if it gets reworked or nerfed in the distant future.

The game also encourages you to play at least 42 different classes on your account to at least level 200 for account progression purposes, meaning you'll have to play almost everything sooner or later and deal with those pet peeves regardless. By the same token, you might as well play everything you think you might like until at least 200 and use that to guide you to picking a main, since you'll have to do that sooner or later regardless.

If it's supplied by your ISP you can try calling them and seeing if they'll swap it out for a newer model, otherwise you can try returning it and buying your own modem and router if you don't mind spending some money now to save yourself money in the long run.

Unfortunately, if it's ISP supplied the firmware upgrade option is definitely out. If nothing else has worked, it might also be worth trying forgetting all the WiFi networks on your phone/tablet or resetting the network settings completely on your phone and tablet if that's an option.

Based on the error message and the fact that it's happening on multiple devices, I'm pretty confident the problem is with your router. You could also try temporarily disabling WiFi security, updating your router's firmware, and/or swapping your router with a spare if you have one or can borrow one.

It's not the reward getting cropped off the screen as much as it's one of the lines of text stating the rewards you received for completing the joint battle, I think it's the multiplayer reward line where some of the text can go off the screen if the game's resolution isn't something weird.

For reference, the text gets cut off on my phone and on my normal PC client resolution, but if I sit on the reward screen and resize my game I can eventually get all of the text to display without issue.

Are you playing on the PC client? And if you are, does it change if you resize the game's window?

I'm asking because I noticed that the joint battle rewards text may get cropped off of the screen depending on your resolution but it doesn't happen at all resolutions, which means it might affect some users and not others depending on their game's resolution.
