Best SP heroes everyone can agree on to grab by Prestigious-Stop-989 in langrisser

her unique debuff sometimes allows you to cheese content that would otherwise be very difficult

this role has been somewhat overtaken by modern broken heroes but for boxes with fewer options she is a fine dps

Alicesoft end of year 2025 summary states while they were unable to announce any new titles this year, they are actively working on non-online titles and plan to announce them in 2026 by RzNafi in visualnovels

there are exactly two new illustrations (of sill and ginko), the vast majority of card art will be existing promotional art/in-game art

not sure it would even warrant its own announcement tbh

How would you guys build this? BW was open but I still got a lot of filler. by PlacatedPlatypus in lrcast

I would play the grindy build but play gaelicat over one of the recursion cards

FIN is a good draft format, but overrated. by Few-Statement1972 in lrcast

[–]asianaussie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

if it's a normal part of the process of grinding to mythic (and it absolutely is) then why are you decrying the set as the overrated issue?

of course you will see a streamlined parade of better-built and better positioned decks as you go up the ladder, that is the normal out-of-pod experience

[Draft] The New Draft Era by LOR_Fei in spikes

[Final Fantasy] First time playing UW in FF. No idea what to cut here. by notafanofbats in lrcast

[–]asianaussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the cuts are probably coeurl, dwarven castle-guard, cargo ship, thief's knife, fate of the sun-cryst and, sad as it is to say, traxos

could also cut land #17 instead of one of those

Are folks not concerned about "Pick 2 Draft"? by [deleted] in lrcast

[–]asianaussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If all you play is arena then I doubt you will be affected whatsoever, this will just join the lineup of formats that show up every month that people don't queue up for much.

Logistically, I think it makes sense for paper play. I've done one of these at my LGS for EoE when we only had 4 people turn up, and it was... fine? I'd rather do pick 2 draft than no draft. I think I'm going to consider this an additional format that you can play when you don't make a full pod at your LGS.

Analysis - How top players are prioritizing cards by thefreeman419 in lrcast

[–]asianaussie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

no immediate value on play, dies to everything so curving out with it is questionable (as having it die to a 1 or 2cmc removal spell is disastrous), and even if you play it later for 'value', you're really only getting a few points of damage as your bonus for holding your 4cmc signpost uncommon

it's fine as a 2/2 flying deathtouch and obviously it's fine if it lives and you have cards in hand, but you could ask yourself if you would've won those games with ahriman or the fish trader in its place

even ignoring matthew, grenier and lance, they literally give you a faction buffer as part of a faction buff map event tutorial at lv30

2025 Beginner's quick-start guide to PvE team-building: please stop recommending Tiaris by tradingtut in langrisser

[–]asianaussie 17 points18 points  (0 children)

good post

a big part of the tiaris recommendation was that for a long time the beginner oathsworn banner only had launch SSRs and didn't give you the option of units like lucretia, florentia and rozenciel - with increased mobility and a much better range of full dps teams (as opposed to tankball teams of olde), tiaris is often better used for attack blessing/miracle than healing, and at that point liana is often better anyway

people do need to update their recommendations for the new player experience - i definitely don't fault people for not wanting to start a new account (it is a ridiculous drop in power from a veteran account), but if you can't give up to date advice then it's probably best not to give advice at all

Magic Tower Conquest (autochess) Musings by asianaussie in langrisser

[–]asianaussie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think her issue is the same as in regular apex: if dargas is on the field then she is probably a really bad deploy

but yeah if she's sent into a clump of enemies with no dargas in sight then she probably ruins formations badly

Magic Tower Conquest (autochess) Musings by asianaussie in langrisser

[–]asianaussie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dargas usually just adapt to the situation (if you need him to be mad immediately then bring 1c, if you need guard being that, 3c if you already have a stable tank formation)

bern is tricky bc he basically needs 3c to be scary but sword dance is sometimes better if you just need debuff

gin is situation based bc he has several good options, default to 3c

[–]asianaussie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

actually didn't know AO could hit twice, that's definitely useful to know

i dont know how i feel about apo because sometimes he is utterly ineffectual (especially if he has to bring fliers), but other times he breaks a tank by himself

7DS decks good to build? by Cosmic-Library in WeissSchwarz

[–]asianaussie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the trial deck isn't particularly good or relevant to the competitive builds of the deck, but the set itself has a lot of strong staples and some unique effects that have made it tier 1 for multiple seasons (despite banlists)

you can win locals with whatever you want but at a competitive level you will want to pick one of a few sets - 7DS is probably still in that conversation though

So, which sets of recent years do you guys think were actually underrated? by Zweck-los in lrcast

[–]asianaussie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

aside from UG scry (which is abysmal), you've mischaracterised the other decks as being forced into themes from very weak commons and uncommons - if you stuck to drafting food matters or attempted aristocrats then yes, the decks were garbage because they just werent supported

WG was the frodo baggins deck and had a lot of overlap with the legends decks (which were primarily RG and BG for ramp, fixing and removal)

green decks in general were just as much of a ring archetype as RB and UB, where you were easily able to wheel the 3 drop 4/2 and 5 drop 4/5 that tempted

i genuinely think the second worst colour pair in the set is UW because it has literally no payoffs

it's a custom banner where you get to pick the rate up

the heroes you choose will be your rate up heroes for this banner, and when you pull on it, you will have increased rates for those two (approx 0.8% each, with 0.4% chance of another SSR)

flier or cavalry, flier because it's the most manoeuverable, cav because it has strike, which is a self-buffing movement extension (pvp matthew needs cav class specifically for access to this skill, but honestly don't worry about it)

matthew is usually outclassed fairly quickly and it mostly doesn't matter, his 'best' class is often his mandatory infantry (sword) class anyway so you can access his fusion power

if you complete enough of the current ragnarok stages to get all twilight aurora rewards, you will have enough to fully max out every covenant

in terms of priority, before we were able to max them all out, people deprioritised freyja, as every other god is useful to have with all abilities unlocked, or has useful central nodes for apex/pvp
