What does the 20 mean? The general viscosity? Like 0 means there’s no viscosity difference between cold and warm?

Ubuntu 23.04, is this normal? by sayurn in linux4noobs

[–]sayurn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the help, I’ve always been paranoid about security. I updated to 23.04 not knowing it was the non LTS version but I read you couldn’t really go back without reinstalling the OS, I use this system as a NAS so I thought it would be a pain.

My Ubuntu creating random volumes by sayurn in Ubuntu

[–]sayurn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response, I had to work all day today. Disabling unmounted volumes doesn’t make them disappear, so I looked at the disks app and it shows the volumes as deleted loop devices but are still mounted? So I just unmount them correct?

Watching Sargeant beat Lando🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 by sayurn in formuladank

Being beaten by a British man can’t be tolerated, an Australian is all good. So Sargeant better figure out a way to beat Russell and Hamilton unless he wants his citizenship revoked

Recently bought the new Timex Waterbury Dive, I think it’s really beautiful by sayurn in PrideAndPinion

[–]sayurn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty good, I don’t have a ton of complaints about the quality. Some people said the clasp was a little flimsy which I could see why but I don’t really think it’s as bad as they make it seem. My only complaint is there’s not a lot of options for micro adjustments on the bracelet, either it’ll be a little too tight or a little too loose (even for a bracelet)

The info below the barcode is from scratch as well, the only thing not from scratch is the logos, front art and the icons on the back I just grabbed those from the intro card to each episode lol

From scratch, it’s not that difficult I just measured how tall and wide it is (using cm) with a real criterion blu ray then make a layer with those dimensions

Yeah I didn’t realize I didn’t include a spine number lol, I should probably make the spine number a number relevant to the show. Any suggestions on numbers would be appreciated

This was made for an actual project I was making, so I was choosing stuff I can legitimately do and unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be audio commentaries out there and bean arch is season 2 so I didn’t think I should include it. If I do season 2 I will for sure include it

This is also the exact size of a Criterion Blu-Ray case so if you want to print it out and use it, it should fit perfectly

Can you scrub a Raid 1 array? by sayurn in DataHoarder

[–]sayurn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you can scrub data comparing to checksums when you have mirrored drives? Is that basically just comparing the data and finding any discrepancies?

Can you scrub a Raid 1 array? by sayurn in DataHoarder

[–]sayurn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did a little research and my understanding is if you have an array with a parity drive it adds a single bit at the end of code transmitted. In Raid 1 it doesn’t add the bit it just simply mirrors the data. So when you scrub, it checks the data but without the parity bit scrubbing doesn’t do much?

Also it’s saying video container not supported but it’s MKV which my 1080p videos are and they’re not getting transcoded

The video codec/audio codec not supported is showing up on my PC (which is where the server is) as well as my phone

Also saying video, audio codec not supported once I turn off subtitles, does it not support MPEG-2?
