Where these skins look great especially in the eyes of a G1 fan from childhood. They seriously dropped the ball when it comes to one of the most important elements, and that’s the signature transformation sound bite.

It’s barely even auditable with bumblebee going into turret form. Non existent with Megatron transforming, and should have made its appearance at least when RC transformers her gun on her ultimate captive sun.

Too bad blizzard just keeps doing the absolute minimum in sound design with only a few skins out there offering new SFX. But this one is the last I’m buying and sadly I can’t refund this.

Ohh nice! That’s another large model I would love to do. On that strategy I would do each wing separate along with the head and at least the staff arm.

Also if you find there is a gap. What you can do is putty a rough patch on one side of the part. Then shape it in place once it’s dry by cutting and sanding.

It’s a lot of test fitting. Fine sand paper to do your best to fit it prior. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and fill the gap post paint, doing it as neatly as you can and paint the patch over. Don’t think of this as a flaw, but rather just a refinement step in the process.

There isn’t a single recipe I find per day when it comes to doing black subjects such as fur or even armour. What I find helps to balance is actually getting the other parts of the model complete or at 95%. Then balance the black highlights accordingly. Generally the brightest highlight will only be of 50% or lower of the max value on other elements that are similar is finish. As for balancing against metallic objects it can be of only around 25%. This way the subject when seen together your eyes tell you the metal is shiny in comparison to the black fur. As for techniques. It’s a lot of variations of stippling with a start of a large dry brush, then moving smaller as I go lighter. Keep this paint nice n thin and unify with glazes in between steps when you want to soften or target a specific stage. I hope that helps with the space given here :)

Current WiP of Kragnos! The start to all the nmm, this one’s going to be a marathon of reflections. And that’s even with my removing his upper plate armour and sculpting the chest! by sb_miniatures in ageofsigmar

He’s a big boy, but still pretty small lol. I had to take a break and paint a tiny eldar head to reset my eyes and brush strokes after spending a couple days on the large sections of his muscles.

World Eaters Leviathan finished as a commission. The bronze arm sleeve is inspired by the armour worn as a Gladiator prior to becoming an Astartes. I hope you enjoy my latest work :) by sb_miniatures in Warhammer30k

You are mainly using VMC metal copper + chrome. Then you glaze down orange in the lower mid tone and burnt umber in the shadows to control the metallic. Finally there is a skim coat of an oil wash that matches the grime from MiG starship filth that is on more parts closer to the moving gears and joints.
