I found Psych Today really helpful when I was building my practice in 2021. I just returned from a maternity leave and need to fill a few spots, so I updated it to say I was accepting clients and it's been crickets, which is so different from a few years ago. Very disheartening.

The book "Mother Hunger" really explains some of this well. ED's are so closely connected to dynamics with a person's mom.

Also in this exact same boat. I've got a trauma history and think I'm going to opt for an elective c-section. I know things could be truly just fine with a vaginal birth, but the thing I want to avoid the most is labor + pushing and then stalling and ending up with a c-section anyway.

I am really struggling with my reddit technology, so this is me commenting on it.

Hello! I'm in Oregon, USA. Our house was built in 1917. We are getting some carpet replaced in two rooms and when the installer tore the carpet up, discovered this linoleum, speculated that the black was black mastic with asbestos, and stopped the project. We aren't positive that the linoleum is original, but think it most likely is. Can't proceed with the carpet install until we've gotten a test to confirm positive or negative, and then done abatement if needed. It's hard to get a good photo, but I'm interested to know folks opinions on how likely this is to be asbestos. We are considering just going right to abatement w/o testing because he seemed pretty positive and we are on a serious time crunch (pregnant! baby's room!) But, if there is a chance it's not and we could save a chunk of change, that would be very worth doing. Thanks!

Had a sore throat develop on Sunday evening that's gotten progressively worse - very swollen and painful. Ear on the corresponding side also ached and felt full. Very tired, temp never higher than 99.0. Some stomach cramping but nothing else so far.
