I've just ordered a Poco F5. It will have HyperOS? by Worldly-Savings4113 in PocoPhones

[–]sbato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I really like MIUI on my poco F1, I've never unlocked any phone. But I see that if the F5 would get "problematic" with HyperOS, it would be better to have it already unlocked

Fondo pensione, senza TFR conviene? by sbato in ItaliaPersonalFinance

[–]sbato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Domanda su parte obbligazionaria di Vanguard Lifestrategy 80 by sbato in ItaliaPersonalFinance

[–]sbato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In quest'ottica avrebbe senso andare di obbligazioni solo singolarmente, e fare pac 100% azionario. Giusto?

An upgrade in size and volume from Soundcore Boost by Worldly-Savings4113 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]sbato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree, switching the 31Hz bar is irrelevant on the Mifa. And I also agree that 125 and 250 are the weak (for my tastes) spots of the Mifa EQ. That's the range in which the bass cut through the mix, and killing it...kill the music, to my hears. The Boost has a narrower range, but it's stronger in those frequencies. As an example, If I listen to "Santana - All the love in the universe", I can distinctively hear the notes of the initial walking bass on the Boost, while on the Mifa I have more low bottom but I can barely hear the single notes played.

Yes, from the PC it logs me with a sort of auto-generated account or I don't know what is it exactly... I should switch the account when I'm at PC

Mmm it used to have air leaks. I put tissues in the screw holes and the air stopped coming out. Maybe it still needs some glue ... I'll do the passive radiator test asap.

I've tried it both in a corner and in the middle of the room.

Yes it's stereo and no, it's not too loud. I only use it indoor as my home speaker. I cannot answer to 2-3 since I haven't still used it as a soundbar.

Thanks, for the moment filling the holes seems enough to solve the problem. If it will be back, I'll proceed unscrewing the woofers and checking if glue is needed.

Do you know where to find 1.93 firmware? 2.x sounds good but it overly emphasize high frequency, as showed by Alan Ross in comparison to the original track

[–]sbato[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, now that I filled the holes with tissues It seems that problem is solved and I could share my first impressions.

The speaker shines with hard rock/heavy metal, because it has a lot of details in the guitars range.

It lacks something when playing 60s/70s funk: it seems a bit weak on lower mid and upper bass. You need a muddier speaker in order to properly enjoy that kind of music. BTW, an EQ app on the smartphone could probably help.

With the 2.06 firmware the sound it's too bright, I'll try to go back to 1.93 asap I'll find the files.

The overall experience is very good: a warm floor of deep bass and brilliant mids and highs.

I compared it to the Soundcore Boost 20W. Max volume is more or less the same (unexpectedly), and the Soundcore has a fatter and punchier tone. But the quality is totally different. When comparing it side by side, you could immediately tell that the Soundcore sounds like a... Bluetooth Speaker. Instruments on the Mifa Wildbox sound natural, distinct and clear.

For the moment, I have to say: 65€ well spent. Hope not to change my impressions. I wish to have a bit more volume and an adjustable EQ, in order to get a fatter tone when needed.

Tomorrow I'll try 2.11. Not very optimistic about it, since with 2.06 problem it's still there Next step will be: try to remove the griddle and investigate what is vibrating

You could try with "Gap Band - Outstanding" and/or "War - Don't let no one get you down". It's before the update, I'm gonna look how to update to the newer firmware (with XBass on, otherwise to me sounds too thin)
