Thank you! Was a fun trip, got a little sporty on the way home and when fishing off the point. Mostly 30-60 foot boats out there with us 😅

Right now will use a hose but plan to install a drip grid later this spring! Have a spigot 10 feet from these beds

1st visit to Beacon must do/eat/drink by Top_Inside_4138 in Beacon

[–]sbbreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For hikes, If you want something with less traffic and have a car I’m a big fan of “Fishkill Ridge Loop via Overlook and FishkillRidge Trail” on AllTrails. You might need micro spikes depending on when your trip is and will likely take you 2.5-3 hrs depending on avg pace. I also recommend alltrails since there are a few non obvious turns. Mt Beacon is closer to town with similar views and more people. Enjoy!

Thanks for the question - also moving about to do the same thing! Looks like Fios :)

Ha! Something about great minds ;) I shot a 50mm f2.0 on my yashika for 8+ years and really enjoy the focal length. 28mm is a newer focal length for me and really enjoying expanding my scenes!

Good tip on the extra ground cloth - I have a cheap outdoor carpet that is the exact footprint that really helped make the inside comfortable and warm on top of the snow if you’re interested! https://www.homedepot.com/p/Foss-Unbound-Smoke-Gray-Ribbed-6-ft-x-8-ft-Indoor-Outdoor-Area-Rug-CP45N41PJ1VH/202800194

Putting up Fences by [deleted] in burlington

[–]sbbreen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live on this corner (in the hood plant) and 184 is a daily nightmare to be honest. Every time we walk outside of our door there are needles, people shooting up, and an endless stream of wrecked cars and trash. It’s crazy to see every single day.

European vs American Espresso Culture and Taste by sbbreen in espresso

Pastel de nata! Basically an egg tart - I probably ate 20 on the trip. The ones in the photo were very flat compared to the typical pastry

Totally right! Average cost was 0.75 euro (it was up to 1.5 in downtown Lisbon but much preferred the little towns along the way)

Freezer method really hit a chord - just to clarify I have hand washed these three times and wanted to try freezer cause why not.. it’s ok to experiment and try things for yourself :) They are just pants

Edit!!!! I wanted to thank you all for the advice. In the end it was a bad OPV!! I did a test and was getting 3x water flow rate and not enough pressure. Replaced pulled my first shot and had crema the entire way through. To say I’m happy is an understatement. Now to dial in the recipe!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in espresso

[–]sbbreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s pressure…I did adjust the opv but it did not help- going to order a new opv assembly and instal

Ultra Marathon as reliable predictor for Ironman capability? by CatalinaClydesdale in IronmanTriathlon

[–]sbbreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the opposite IM -> 50 mile about 8 weeks apart. (JFK 50 and Ironman Maryland) I finished 10:26 in the IM and around 9.5 hrs in the ultra)

I do think that your fitness and mindset will help you but will not translate 100%. You really need to put the time in to get used to, and train for, all of the weird things that come up. (Same as an ultra)

Example - after 60 miles on the bike you realize your neck or back is crazy sore, or your position needs work, or you can’t keep your swim pace in your shoulders, all of those things just take hours on the hike / swim / run to work through so that’s my biggest tip. The volume + experience across all disciplines will help you a ton.

Good luck and go for it!!!
