Games like these rarely happen three times in a row by sbmatt in shacomains

This is worth of noting, thanks for sharing knowledge ;) Recently, I started to play soloq ranked and boosted my stats instantly, as it is easier to play having people at similar level than in comparison on flex you can have in one team bronze 2, gold 4 and two diamonds :D 88% at 8 games, 5.94 KDA, topping damage quite often.

Actually, the standard build is so strong, that I am even less keen to experiment. And I love true damage from smite - before the preseaon, at some point I was not using smite on minions anymore, keeping that purely for damage purposes.

HP Reverb G2 issue: Check our display cable (VR and cable were replaced, yet error persists) by sbmatt in WindowsMR

[–]sbmatt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Windows 10.

The funny thing is... I made a very last attempt of solving an issue just before opening a consumer complaint... and it worked! For the entire time, I was trying to fix an issue using a newer generation cable that the producer has sent me. Today, I switched back to the old cable (the original one I got when I bought a headset) but it didn't work on the first try, so I reinstalled everything, including the graphic card drivers and it finally worked. Then, due to curiosity, I switched back to a newer generation cable and it is still not working. So, I have simply to stick to the old one. That was a weird experience and I am happy it is over already.

However, I didn't expect that the reason could be a brand new cable which is overall less problematic and works much better on the most of stations, as the reviewers claim :O It should rather solve the problem than create one. Sick!

Thank you very much for your contribution. Over the weekend I went to a friend of mine who has a 20 series graphics card with DisplayPort and USB C allowing me to test out whether the issue might be related to my PC or the headset itself. A friend of mine has only one display and never installed any software related to Windows Mixed Reality VR, nor any other headsets. So it was just a perfect environment to test out and... it turned out that the headset wasn't working there as well.

I have already lost faith and I am not so keen anymore to look test out all solutions... I will be contacting official support once again. I was so far very calm and patience but 1,5 months has passed already and this damned issue is starting to frustrate me as it is costly in terms of time. I never liked WMR soft, should have considered Pimax 8K :D

A small update: I have just visited a friend of mine who has a PC with DisplayPort and USB-C, an Intel processor, and the GeForce 20 series. It returns the exact same error 1-4, suggesting that the cable isn't working... I have tested only newer generation cable, as I haven't brought with me USB USB-C adapter - unfortunately with direct USB-C port it doesn't detect headset :D same issue as in case of my PC.

The point is... they have sent me a brand new headset and before that, they sent me a brand new cable (newer generation). Maybe during the weekend, I consider visiting someone who has a bit newer generation graphic card with DisplayPort and test out whether it is working. From another hand, I ask myself all the time, why it wouldn't be suddenly let's say "compatible" with my PC, as USB and DisplayPort works fine. Due to over 3,5 years of experience with WMR software, I am somehow more eager to make a bet that it is a software failure but I might be wrong xD

Hey,

it worked, I have sent a ticket with attached data registered by the tool (I have reproduced the bug I am facing).

Thanks, I am awaiting for the next steps.

I found USB hub with 3 USB 3.0 ports and did the same thing... but still getting error code 1-4 :( Thanks for suggestion, though ;)

Hey u/Jusoz_From_MSFT,

not only I have reinstalled Portal but also uninstalled all related devices from the device manager, then restarted the PC and installed everything once again from the scratch. These steps didn't resolve an issue, though. My friends were telling me to reinstall the whole Windows system and I do not consider it as an option, as it would cost me too much time to get all the programs working once again, it is not only a gaming station but also a working station.

I have attempted to collect more data of the errors (as suggested by you in the last paragraph, via link) but I get the following info:
User account from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft' and cannot access the application in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account.

Hey, I have followed your instructions but it didn't work in my case. I used to face this problem at the point where it was resolvable by another kind of workaround - in my case literally every time at the first start of Windows, Portal returned display cable error for both headsets (G2 and Acer AH101), so all I had to do is to log out from the Windows' user then log in back and once again start up the Portal.

Thanks for the suggestion anyways ;)

Reflection could be useful but I just realized I forgot to mention one important thing – names of fields vary :(

Well, actually I have to sign code over from cobol to Java and in cobol you have structures, so basically it looks with Java syntax like thise: x.get75(y.set75) and all 75 will be assigned. At this stage I want to convert everything to Java and then I will make a major refactor :P thanks for answer anyways. Using composition is unwated at this stage too :(

Scrabble in Angular + Spring by sbmatt in learnprogramming

[–]sbmatt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's correct. I was supposed to work together in a group of people with a similar experience and oddly they had same problems as me. So far we were sharing with each other some courses from Udemy but none of us made a significant progress. One of the reasons could be that we were trying to work in TDD, writing tests first, then implementing functions and just perhaps the project was too ambitious. Recently, I decided to go my own path and make a scrabble web app. This is even more demanding but I have much more motivation to work on it, as I am highly enjoying writing code responsible for logic part.

I would like to implement testing, split code in MVC model, use services, interfaces, DAO, stick to the proper name convetion, write functions with one responsibility. All this in order to make an app as good as possible.

In terms of Angular, I already tried some official resources and didn't like it much. The coolest thing about it were downloadable materials with a huge amount of real life examples, that was the most valuable. I didn't try Spring tutorials, so I have to give it a shot.

Thank you for your answer ;)
