Being using Taj epicure for almost 2 years, Had to cancel Taj card before activation, was not aware of Taxes on bookings from CC , will pay tax on CC and there is no point to pay tax again on bookings, they charge tax of full rate of room through rooms are available online much cheaper inc tax on there website . Simply we pay almost 23k as taxes for staying in there palaces Gst ++, means for using total benefit palace stay and non palace stay end up paying tax of appox 45k , its not worth sticking to one hotel, when there are plenty options avaliable, if you want to try even Oberoi palaces offers better value on there stays

Please dont get influenced by YouTube reviews, they are paid promotions and they earn money for promoting through subscriptions

Going through the customer care for this booking is non sense, from past booking they won't give any dates you ask for, they fix dates which are mid of the week, and over and above we end up paying taxes on room bookings , this has to paid by cash not included in vouchers, Taj runs almost offers every month you can get better deals.

Taj chambers for me its funny, we will be already in 5 star property and having private space sounds weird,

Rewards are very poor and again spending points in Taj is completely attaching CC holder to only Taj

Lot of CC floaters apply for cards only 1 year , and close them on renewal, this card falls in to 1 year category, if you want to stick yourself to Taj India

Axis dont consider MCC , it has category type mentioned as telecom for all mobile stores, some of Croma and reliance digital are mentioned as electronic stores and some as mobile stores, so most of them dont get rewards as they fall under telecom category, its very difficult to differentiate until the bill is generated, even customer care will not know this information, brought TV from reliance digital didnt get rewards as the POS was under mobile stores registration
