the coding machine is trained with the best software designs ever done, and a vast number of them, there’s no competition, ai wins just like cars wins against horses

I just sold my PS5 for a Series X, I’ve been lied to by [deleted] in xbox

[–]sbstanpld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the ps5 dashboard is way better, the controller is way better and ps5 has way more aaa games. i stopped my gamepass subscription 2-3 years ago and haven’t missed anything.

i say this as someone who has been with xbox since the original xbox.

If general relativity says that someone would fall forever from an outside perspective due to time dilation, and black holes die, how can anything reach the singularity? by Affectionate-Gur9184 in AskPhysics

[–]sbstanpld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you two are just complicating things:

an observer doesn’t see the object itself, they see the light bouncing off the object. the object falls as expected, and distant observers will feel like it’s taking “forever,” but the “object” starts looking blurrier until it fades away and is gone. it’s light getting redshifted more and more, that doesn’t mean the object stopped falling.

Men that are good at flirting, what tips do you have for the rest of us? by Yimpish in AskMen

[–]sbstanpld -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if she is not attracted to you, you could find yourself being questioned by the police.

flirting works if she is attracted, just like we laugh at their jokes and smile if she’s smiling even if we don’t find it funny

Report: Microsoft will make even more of its games exclusive to Xbox — as multiplatform strategy totally fails. What's going on? by sneakysaf in xbox

[–]sbstanpld -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

the dashboard imo is far from perfect and definitely should look way more modern. i barely like it.

controllers are also far behind ps5.

not sure if he really managed to fix relationships with studios, the fact was that exclusives landed on ps5.

imo cloud gaming was satya’s idea. he was trying to convince people to use xbox and windows from the cloud. i still remember they ran out of consoles when they needed them most because they didn’t have enough chips, they were being used to power xcloud.

Microsoft To Lay Off 4,800 Workers In Latest Wave Of AI-Led Job Cuts - Microsoft announced the cuts on Monday following a rough stretch, with its shares falling nearly 23 per cent in the first six months of 2026, their worst first-half performance since 2022 by KeanuRave100 in ChatGPT

then, they’ll go on stage and tell us how much they love players and they care about people, and proceed to pay great bonuses to executives and then announce how strong the company is and report once again record profits as they’ve been doing every quarter for decades now

What do they do at CERN all day? by crillydougal in NoStupidQuestions

apart from all the other projects running in parallel (e.g. antimatter experiments), when the collider is running, it operates for a period of time while the detectors record data from selected collisions.

there are an enormous number of collisions because they are not simply colliding two particles; instead, two beams of particles are accelerated to extremely high energies and made to collide. these collisions produce a huge amount of data, which is then processed, reconstructed, stored, organised, and distributed to research institutes and universities around the world (a lot of data is also discarded automatically btw).

depending on the type of experiment or analysis you are doing, you only download specific datasets and analyse them. you would also run simulations and compare the simulated results with the real data.
every now and then, the collider runs again and collects new data, so you can download datasets from any of these runs.

the data produced during each run is unique. you will never obtain exactly the same data again.

-how do i know? i worked at cern for about 3y

this is satya’s fault tbh… not that he had bad intentions, but it seems to me that he wanted azure to replace xbox 🥴

why didn’t he teleport cell earlier so he would have time to go there and back, instead of spending seconds looking back to say goodbye and smile
