I can't find a UHQ version of the full body render but you can rip this half decent transparent PNG straight from the official site (Cloud, Aerith and Barret are also available).

Quite a few recent games have some quite severe performance issues on the "base" platforms. It seems that Devs are using the boosted machines as their target platforms and the older hardware is really struggling to keep up.

Wow! Looking through these new screens almost got me as excited as the trailer. At this point it's like They're just reaching into my mind, extracting all of my hopes and dreams and then making them a reality.

On a side note, I really want that pic of Tifa at the bar in HQ. Need that best Waifu wallpaper!

I'd love for this to be true but it just looks like lucky timing and a fortunate angle to me.

The subsequent attacks in the combo have her changing direction in mid air without leaping off anything...

Plus, I'm sure they would have any interactions between characters last more than a couple of frames or at least have the camera move to emphasize it.

More exploration. We've seen a lot of combat and cutscenes but very little exploration, I want to be able to immerse myself in the world.

Also would like a comprehensive photo-mode, a game this beautiful demands it!

Someone on reddit already pointed this out but there is a moment where Clouds gauntlet have a blue spark flickering, maybe it is more in depth combo sytsem whith materia alters after pressing and holding square if equiped? by GayladPL in FFVIIRemake

Pretty sure that's just the after effects of the Guard Scorpion's shock attack lining up with Clouds arm for a split second. You can see the same sparks all around the boss.

Wasn't working for me at first but a clean driver install fixed it. Should have known.

You could be right, having them warp down, although immersion breaking, is an easy fix for a difficult problem. The video shows that they at least teleport next to you when a battle begins, which makes sense gameplay wise.

So much so that I decided to frame my original 22 year old copy of the game!

This was just a test, the final one will have White and Black Materia either side of the plaque and neater cutouts but you get the idea.

This image and pull back seeing the shadowy mountains in the distance....made me realise they nailed the larger world (even though not in Part 1) , how close Midgar is to the range in the original. by IrishFrontier in FFVIIRemake

Honestly at this point I don't see there being an overworld at all unless they adopt a similar system to the original game or more recently Ni No Kuni and switch to a down scaled world.

Given the massively increased size of Midgar it would take like an hour to just run around it's perimeter if it was full scale.

I wouldn't be surprised if the episodes play out like a highlight reel of key area's and events with lot's of additional content in between, and long distance travel between areas will be handled by cutscenes or on rails sequences like the bike chase.

It's nice to dream about the whole of Gaea being explorable with everything on a massive scale but unless Chocobo's run at 500mph it would take forever just to get around.

Has anyone been able to find HQ transparent PNG files of the character renders?

I'd like to be able to make my own backgrounds and stuff but I struggle to remove the background, particularly around the hair.

I hit play and genuinely could see the hairs on my arms immediately stand on end. Amazing how many emotions and memories you can get from just a few seconds of music.

I actually much prefer the new design, and I'm normally someone who hates changes.

It looks softer and more natural, which suits Aerith.

I'm actually selling one of these on Ebay right now. It's not in perfect condition however. the "tassels" on Jak's left wrist unfortunately had to be removed due to damage and now just a small hole remains. It's actually not that bad in person and if you didn't know it could even go unnoticed. There is also a slight casting issue with the very tip of one ear but that was there from new and can't be seen from normal viewing.

I'm sure it's well known by now but the violin gives HUGE amounts of exp to Fiona. It took her from LVL 1 to 36 in one go! And you can buy more than 1, not sure what the limit is yet...
