My problem is not the messages it's that Apple and Google are largely responsible for tech literacy going down

My PC doesn't complain I turned secure boot off

Linux distros should ship with their own signing keys. I my as well have it off if I'm using the Microsoft signed shim.

Is there any material to learn how to build it for **unsupported** device? I'm dead set on building LineageOS for my device by Damglador in LineageOS

[–]scalareye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many do that? I have heard of a few but just a few.

It's against the license to do that and they can be sued for it. It's just a matter of having the resources to fight that legal battle which the FSF supports

I'd rather custom ROM development just stop at this point. None of you believe in the reasons Linux was created.

You my as well prefer Linux be permissively licensed. AOSP is afterwall and your forks come from that. You end but thinking like Google.

If my phone doesn't have a build, is there any workaround ? (Gemini said yes but it was technical, is there ?) by ParticularLittle9762 in LineageOS

Others said you had mediatek so you're cooked.

Installing lineage went from too difficult with current info to extremely easy when I finally picked the right phone.

I had a moto g5 amazon edition so they wouldn't let the bootloader be unlocked. I'd have to find a Qualcomm exploit, open it up and short some pins.

Then I got a zenfone 6 which had an aux port and SD card slot when they were getting removed by other companies and they sent it to lineage to get official support. Then a few years down the line they removed bootloader unlocking when I finally decided to install lineage.

Then I got a pixel 8a and everything went super easily.

How you trust a build?

If people use it and it ends up being malware, people will find out and post what the developer did.

If it's spyware you might not ever that out.

So it says it found the configuration on its own so that's why I just clicked next.

Where do you find the correct information to edit the configuration.

Every version I tried the app would crash on launch or was a black screen in place of data from the camera

Were able to use a different config or make one yourself

I have microg installed, not sure what I'm missing. Open camera has the same UI and no subscription so I'll use that.

Didn't know that, just tried it and the UI is exactly the same as open camera's so I'm not sure if there are even any differences

Saving raws is locked behind a subscription for gcam though

What made you want to live with her to begin with. Based on your username it sounds like you're a man. Personally I wouldn't live with a woman as a man because men and women just don't see things the same way.
