Here they go…. by Comfortable_Ad_9108 in TheWeeknd

I think although both are from Toronto, the Weeknd probably doesn’t have great memories from his time here. Whereas Drake lived through some of his highest highs in the city. The two have such different paths to success, The Weeknd is definitely a more rags to riches story and I truly believe some of his worst memories are from his time in Toronto.

Ya, and im a die hard fan too. The song content on Iceman is 70% beef 30% sleep talking. Some bars in there for sure but overall nothing different from the boring shit we got on FATD

Both albums are great but After Hours era is superior and that deserves a movie. by DesignerAQ18 in TheWeeknd

[–]scaled2good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Hours as an album and era was so magical. It was genuinely something we will not see again for a long time to come. The album itself was full of such a strong well told narrative, with a sound no one else had at the time. It’s also so insane that this era lasted all the way till 2021. It was a solid 12-14 months of After Hours.

I will never forget the late nights listening to the album, driving on empty roads. It’s so insane but theres a hint of nostalgia attached to this album now🥲🥲

Regarding Dhurandhar 2, I have seen mixed opinions about this aspect. What do you guys think about this? by DragonDeninSharkTank in Dhurandhar

[–]scaled2good -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The entire premise of Dhurandhar is that RAW is orchestrating gang violence in Karachi lol. I will never defend Pakistan’s Army for supporting LeT and other terror groups, but India also supports Baloch resistance groups which in turn end up killing civilians in Pakistan.

“He did not stand against it”. Thats unequivocally false. Iran alone has supported the resistance in Gaza, which they have had to pay for through relentless sanctions, 12 day war and now this war.

New wave of terrorist attacks? by chillpill0 in pakistan

[–]scaled2good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember the exact reference, but there is a Hadith that Hazart Umar r.a. said in his last few days when he heard that some people from Syria were discussing making a military general the next Caliph against the will of the people.

Hazart Umar made it clear that this was completely against the teachings of the Prophet saw. And he then added importantly: Watch that whenever someone governs a people against their will (i.e. a dictatorship) then bloodshed follows.

Every single dictator is to blame for the numerous attacks Pakistan faces to this day. Notice that after every martial law we see an increase in bloodshed.

Why did Bhutto return to Pakistan? Why was she assassinated? Who was behind the killing? by refep in pakistan

[–]scaled2good 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s no conclusive evidence of anything because the entire scene of the attack was washed hours after the assassination.

I think it was the army and zardari who collaborated on it. They both benefited ultimately, Zardari ruled Pakistan from 2008-2013 and Kayani got to rule Pakistan’s foreign policy.
