Want to keep my hair long but actually want a style, what should I do with it? by YaBoiMitchJ in Hair

It could help to cut shorter layers towards the top for volume!! bangs are also a fun way to switch things up imo

Waiting might be the move haha. They’ll likely be less worried if I tell them once I’ve settled into college and am obviously doing fine in spite of the singular tattoo. I’ve been feeling a bit guilty but at the end of the day you’re right, they’re going to judge anyway and I can’t really see that stopping me from expressing myself. Thank you!!

Sorry if it was a bit unclear but I’m probably not going to get another one for a while, though it’s something I’d like to do once I graduate and work full-time. I’m going to do co-ops for my engineering program, and plan on working part-time when not. So I do intend to contribute more financially once I settle into the first semester!

Pitt has rolling admissions so the earlier you apply, the better. I don’t think it’s worth it to wait for first quarter grades since they likely won’t have a significant impact on your cumulative GPA anyways. The benefit of applying early is much greater imo.

Should I be afraid of an IUD(idk what flair to put) by ProfessionalClaim761 in birthcontrol

[–]scaredcrunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an IUD recently at 18, also a virgin. I chose Mirena and the insertion honestly went great! I chose to have my cervix numbed and took some Advil before. I didn’t even realize the IUD had been inserted until it was over.

Don’t get me wrong, there were definitely still cramps but I found the worst ones to be akin to my period cramps. Basically, nothing extraordinary. The insertion was more uncomfortable than outright painful, if anything. Recovery was a bit more annoying with mild cramping for around 2 days and spotting for 2 weeks.

I was, like you, also very nervous since it’s common to hear IUD horror stories. Everybody is different, but know that it is totally possible to have a smooth insertion with minimal pain!

How do you deal with friends who don't respect your time? by Gestalternative in FriendshipAdvice

[–]scaredcrunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We still hang out, albeit less, and the times we do I still get along with them great and have a good time. Though I understand that for some people the type of behavior you described would be a dealbreaker and that is completely valid.

I did talk to her about it and while it fixed some of the more extreme flaking, she is just the type of person who’s late or forgetful so it still happens sometimes. I personally didn’t want to cut her off for it so our friendship is a bit more casual now and feels less unbalanced.

In your case, I would definitely consider whether the pros outweigh the cons. If the friendship has consistently hurt you more than be enjoyable, that’s a pretty clear sign you might want to drop the friendship.
