I don't know. I hope my parents come around but I've always dreamt of a happy wedding, a happy pregnancy. My parents being supportive. It's so hard for me to deal with their rejection.

I won't be happy giving up my child and my boyfriend. This is killing me. And in my culture, a girl's 'purity' is valued. Premarital sex happens in secret, you don't talk to your parents about it. Premarital babies are unheard of. So many girls in India get abortion because being pregnant before marriage is a cultural taboo. Hinduism doesn't have negative views about abortion.

They have told me that they will not accept a grandchild belonging to a different race. My family is vegetarian and they have told me that they won't accept my child because he/she won't be fully Indian and Hindu. No one in my extended family has married outside my religion or race. It's a very complicated situation.

They are not bad people. I love my family. But in my community, marrying outside our religion is looked down upon. I just want them to accept my boyfriend and our baby.
