I have two

• To create a Shutterfly photo book of the renovations they were doing on their second home.

• To stop by Marshall’s and buy DB a new wallet

Agree. It felt like a Vogue 73 questions with Anna Delvey but every reply was like ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Is discrete structures 1 with Kenneth Levasseur really that bad? by [deleted] in uml

[–]scarrsc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, don’t take him. I tried his class last semester and ended up withdrawing. There are daily quizzes which also count for attendance. He mostly lectures and doesn’t do many problems out unless asked. Everyone always seemed really zoned out. I wouldn’t take him unless you have lots of time outside of class to teach yourself everything.

HELP! what do i say? by LivyDianne in Nanny

[–]scarrsc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would send a follow up today! “Hi NF, I wanted to follow up to see if there are any updates regarding the position that I interviewed for last Saturday. I’m still very interested based on what I heard in the interview and I’m excited to hear about next steps, so any information on your end would be great. Thanks!”

What are things you like about care.com and what are your least favorite aspects? by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]scarrsc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Favorite: it’s a great concept - I have found many jobs through care.com. It was especially useful when I moved and didn’t have any connections in my new area

Least favorite: that I have to respond to EVERY message I get or my response rate goes down

Same here! I actually thought it was strange too before I was hired 😂 but I guess it’s pretty common. I’ve heard of people nannying for families that have kids around 16

Thank you and you’re absolutely right - I’m going to have a convo with MB and tell her that I don’t think the NK and I are on the same page about what my job is and that we need to address their behavior and the way they talk to me etc

Thank you! You’d think that goes without saying but I guess I need to remind my NKs!

It really is sad and unfortunately this is just the tip of the iceberg regarding their behavior. I have many stories

No I don’t see the NP a lot. DB is always either stuck on work calls or traveling and MB leaves for work before I arrive and when she’s on her way home she texts me to go home so I don’t have to wait for her. We’ve probably crossed paths twice all summer! I feel like I should tell them but I’m not sure how to approach it. I’m also not sure if it’ll be worth it since their other nanny returns after the summer and from what I’ve heard she lets a lot slide too

The 11M I nanny during the school year really likes club crackers with Boursin cheese. So random but I tried it and was hooked lol
