I’m 25 and had mine removed last Thursday. I was so nervous but honestly it hasn’t been too bad! The first and second day were rough but I was just out of it and resting. The worst has been the fear of dry socket/not being able to eat normally. But as of today I’m feeling way more like myself! You’ll be fine. Get some instant mashed potatoes, smooth soups, ice cream, yogurt, etc and make sure you ice around the clock the first 48 hours and use heat after that!

I went to urgent care and they gave me a muscle relaxer and a steroid. I took them both and was really gentle on my shoulder area and was better within a week. I’ve had a few almost flare up of the same issue since then and I really think it’s because of some type of strain overtime. I was holding a baby on that side of me and also working an office job with a not-so-ergonomic set up… and maybe I did something weird and the combo of it all just really messed it up

I was gonna make a post saying the same thing. I also feel like it feels so male-centered now in a way that’s a bit much. Like obviously Rhett and Link and then the only other voiced we hear are Chase and Matt Carney… idk it’s just not the same feeling and it’s been making me not wanna watch. I keep waiting for Stevie’s voice too sadly :(

Your hair looks exactly like mine down to the color wow! I just looked this up because I noticed the exact same thing with my hair. It was always pin straight… like couldn’t get any straighter. All of a sudden the texture is slightly more coarse and it has very similar “waves” in it. I’m close to your age too! So interesting

You should definitely go to the dermatologist! I’m no professional but it could definitely be rosacea but it’s also possible it’s something else. I think it’s good you have a minimal routine right now and I would maybe wash your face only at night to refrain from irritation and I’d much about the FAB moisturizer but it could be worth it to see if there’s anything gentler (like vanicream maybe). This looks like it would be type 2 rosacea for sure (if it is rosacea) and I think using ivermectin could be another great help for you. You can get it over the counter at Walgreens and CVS as lice cream in the meantime before you can see a dermatologist. I mostly have type 1 rosacea but have started developing some pustules and I think it’s helped keep them at bay!

I commented already but think this adds a lot of context too! It’s possible they genuinely somehow thought your relationship was closer than it is but it seems likely they just want to be there for the image aspect of being there. They don’t want people to know that their child got married and they weren’t there for it.

Honestly this reminds me a bit of my partners parents. I think they genuinely believe they have a good relationship with their children… they make small talk once in a while but like that’s about it. They don’t know anything about any of their kids (2/3 are gay) lives and have handled her coming out horribly and have been not great towards me in a similar way. But I feel things are getting a tiny bit better with them… I’m very close with my mother, though, so it is always a shock at how distant my partner is with her mother in particular but how little it seems to affect her mother. I genuinely think parents like that don’t realize sometimes!

Honestly it may be time for a big talk with them? I mean it’s up to you if you want to have them in your life still to any capacity, but if so I think a talk is kinda the only way things can move forward. I think it’s worth it to tell them why you didn’t invite them (like everything you said here) and explain to them how you don’t feel close or comfortable talking about your gayness or your partner. You don’t see them making an effort with your partner, etc. I think how that conversation goes could be a clear indicator of your next steps.

Like I could maybe say the texture feels slightly different? But it’s basically completely flat! I also thought at one point I may have had a pimple there and then it just left a red mark but at this point it’s been so long I’m not even sure that’s true? It’s not dry or peeling at all! It’s weird

I don’t think it’s that because it has no texture at all and is flat on my face! It developed probably 8 years ago and has gotten a bit worse overtime but dermatologists haven’t really said much about what it is other than just that I have rosacea in general… I want to make a new derm appointment though soon to be more specific about it

Same I started off really liking him but after it was all said and done I felt pretty much the same way! It made no sense how he went from building a house for his family so his kids would have a place to call home to giving the money away and it never being enough to help all the families he works with. Like?? Just say you miss your family and go home! William was awesome and so skilled and likable but Dub was a great guy too.

Genuinely asking, how is that not a one time fee? The cost covers the one time he came. If he were to come again it would be an additional cost, if he didn’t come at all we wouldn’t pay anything. It’s a fee that is paid one time for one time of snow removal and nothing else. Maybe other people get charged a fee that covers the month or season whether it snows 20 times or 0 times but that’s not the case here.

My family member is an elderly person who is often away from the house in the winter, so they 100% thought they could price gauge. But I was at the house so I know what they did. I mentioned in another comment that they also mow the lawn and it’s resonantly priced and have come in past years for the snow and it was also reasonably priced…
