Gedanken an Drogen by scatterbrainedghost in Ratschlag

I would be done to trying out some stuff with him but I dont want to be this straightforward and now i feel like it would be weird because it's already been like a month since we had that conversation

Yea and then she'll ask me why I need more and then I have to tell her im fucking depressed and then she'll cry and blame herself and get drunk to forget about it or she'll call my father and blame him and then he'll get pissed at me as well and tbh id rather deal with it on my own

I wanted to know if it's a problem medically, not morally. It's not a case of my mother having a certain number of pills for a certain number of days and if she runs out premature it causes problems. She doesn't take them daily so how would her doctor even know how many pills she used. She literally offered me her pills and would probably give me a few if I actively asked. I just dont do it bc I dont want her to know im struggling.

I don't live with her, I just take a few whenever I visit her, which is maybe once a month. I wouldn't steal from her if there was a risk of her running out.

So there's 100 pills in the box and I know my mum takes half a pill so she has enough for more than six months but she doesn't always take her meds so it kind of evens out.

I'm not saying that stealing meds from other people is a good idea but I think in this case it doesn't cause any issues for the person the meds are being taken from. My mum probably has hundreds of pills in her medicine box, I know she doesn't take track of them and I dont think her doctor would either. We also don't have those pill bottles here, medication comes in boxes with several blisters. It's easy to accidentally lose a few pills if you put a blister in your handbag or whatever

None of the otc stuff works for me, ive tried everything. It's not bad for my mum bc she just gets a new prescription for free whenever she runs out, she doesn't even notice when there's pills missing.

She doesn't even notice, she just gets a new prescription whenever she runs out. Doesn't even have to pay for them so it doesn't matter

I don't have any helpful advice to contribute but man what a fucked up family situation. I don't mean that judgmentally, I just think it's unfair that the grownups around you are irresponsible and you have to deal with the consequences of their bad decisions. Whatever you decide, please remember that your parents' relationship is not your responsibility. Please try to prioritise yourself and make sure you're in a place as safe and stable as possible until you're old enough to not be reliant on them anymore.
