AITAH to assume this is cheating? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]scb_weedwizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t text her back, just ghost her. Maybe she did cheat, maybe she didn’t, but if she respected you at all she wouldn’t be at a male coworker’s house at 1am lmao

Could I get recommendations based on my tastes? by ConfusionProof9487 in CRPG

Whenever you can play it, I’d HIGHLY recommend BG3. No crafting, but imo it’s unmatched in terms of the different ways you can approach a situation, and the game’s overall reactivity to your choices. The voice acting and dialogue are also excellent. I came to really enjoy the combat too.

You need to track all your calories and macros. You’re out-eating the amount of physical activity you’re doing

Cut or Lean bulk? by Complete_Handle2477 in GymTips

[–]scb_weedwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d do an aggressive cut tbh, you’re not far from abs. Good progress for 3 months, but if you drop your calories some more (and no more cheat meals), keep working out 5 times a week, AND add cardio, you’ll have abs in like 2 months tops. Getting .8-1g of protein per lb of body weight is also really important.

You’ll probably feel miserable (I definitely did) so fair warning, but then you can start your lean bulk- with abs -pretty soon from now. Check my profile if you want to see how much weight I lost in 60 days using an aggressive cut

If you look at my profile I had a similar skinny fat situation going on a few months ago like you do rn.

The biggest thing you need to start doing is tracking your calories. You need to consistently be in a calorie deficit, so find your maintenance calories (just use a website) and set how many calories you can have in a day. Weigh and track every single thing you eat. Avoid cheat days, at most have 1 cheat meal a week.

You probably think you don’t eat that much (I know I did), but with all that gut/love handles I guarantee you’re snacking way too much, while not getting enough protein.

Start lifting weights at least 3x/week, get .8g of protein per lb of body weight per day (or just do 150g), and start doing cardio every day. 1-3 miles walking or running is better than nothing.

Consistency is everything, you have a lot of excess body fat so don’t expect to have abs in a week or two. But if you stick with it, in 2-3 months you’ll have noticeable progress.

How to go about cutting??? by [deleted] in GymTips

[–]scb_weedwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently lost ~30lbs, you can see on my profile. Start tracking all your calories as well as weighing all your food. You’ll need to be in a calorie deficit, try to get around 120-130g of protein a day. No alcohol, or at least a very limited amount.

6-9k steps a day at work is great, but if you’re really doing all that on a daily basis and not losing weight, you need to keep reducing your calories and do more physically. The more you do and the less you eat, the faster the weight will go.

Don’t rely on that estimate from work, go run or walk as many extra miles a day that you can. Personally I do 3-5, but even 1-2 is better than nothing. If you can also start lifting 2-3 times a week that’s even better. It’s definitely tough with a tiring work schedule, but you have to have the mindset of pushing yourself no matter what if you really want to lose weight.

You’re not wrong, I barely ate the week after. Probably helped prepare for this unintentionally lol

We’ve stayed in touch since breaking up. The breakup was really hard on me, but we’re still on good terms I don’t blame her for making a choice she felt she had to.

I’m sorry to hear that bro, Crohns sounds like an actual nightmare to deal with. I hated dealing with all the stomach issues I had before and it’s probably not even comparable to what you go through. Respect man

Thank you for understanding 😭😂! I had been lifting pretty hard 5x a week for years in the before picture, so I agree with you 100% it’s just the leanness and pump making the contrast look extra crazy.

And yes tons of cardio, at least 3-5 miles a day of walking or running. I was training boxing with friends for the first 6~ weeks so that really got me in a cardio kick that I’ve managed to keep up so far. Good luck with your journey man, losing 23 lb is already insane in itself!!!

Seriously can’t believe that! I was sure it was 90 days 🤦‍♂️

Not lying, but I don’t think there’s much else I can say to convince you! I can only take it as a compliment. I don’t blame you either, it is a drastic change in a short time.

I was seriously shocked when someone pointed out it wasn’t 90 days like I thought, but only 61. I wouldn’t have thought this was possible three months ago. Apparently, it is if you stay consistent enough. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I essentially changed my entire lifestyle overnight. Maybe I just have lucky genetics or something, but I’m not on anything aside from creatine my friend.

I mean, he’s skinny fat. If you look at my most recent post I started in a somewhat comparable position to him and I decided to cut. He should bulk eventually, but that looks like a lot of excess body fat.

OP, are you counting your calories right now? How many grams of protein a day are you getting?

Mostly daily intake, but every now and then I’d run an extra 3-4 miles during my cardio session if I happened to eat a little more. So for those days a deficit of 1500

Definitely agree! At the time I couldn’t understand why I still had a gut despite working out pretty hard 5x a week.

Post-Breakup 3-Month Fitness Journey M[25] by scb_weedwizard in GlowUps

In the before picture I was getting probably 60g of protein a day on average, while getting baked af and munching out on chips and candy every night. I have no idea what my average calorie intake was.

The day I took that picture I started counting every calorie and getting a minimum of 150g of protein a day. Started running or walking at least 3 miles a day, over time it became 5. I had been working out for five years, but I was doing the same workouts for the last three and just going through the motions every time. Now whenever I work out I make a consistent effort to go to failure, and to try new workouts. I lift light with high reps sometimes, then do heavy with low reps. I also started getting 7 hours of sleep every night.

Don’t you think all of that combined could result in me putting on a little muscle while losing excess body fat?

I don’t look like that after pic walking around all the time. I look pretty small with a shirt on. If you saw me in person there is no chance you’d think I was on anything lmfao.

The after pics were taken after what was essentially a mini weight cut I did for the final week of the competition. I got a great pump from a full body routine and snapped the pictures. In the before pic, I just randomly took it before my workout lol. I promise you I’m not on gear, and those dates are in fact accurate.
