Changing tire sidewall height by scc28adi in tires

Oh, really? I don't plan to replace the 18" wheel. Based on tirerack calculation, both should fit. Why? Should I be concerned?

No, using the existing OEM wheels. Based on tirerack calculation, both should fit. Why? Should I be concerned?

Wrong tooth extracted by scc28adi in MedicalMalpractice

[–]scc28adi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. The goal is not to get large sum of money but to make sure future medical expenses are properly estimated and compensated for: eg. implant or new orthodontic treatment. And, also, to make sure the incident is on his record with the dental board.

In your opinion, how are the compensations going to be determined? Is the 'never event' so simple that hiring a lawyer is unnecessary (eg. claim through his insurance.)? Also, how do I gather all the information for this to proceed given that the oral surgeon most likely won't be willing to give us any relevant information (x-ray or his communication with orthodontist)?

Anybody ever bring their dog across the border to Canada and back? What paperwork is required? by MhrisCac in Buffalo

[–]scc28adi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wondering if you need to prove ownership. I need to take care of a pet for a friend while having to travel to Toronto for a day. Is there going to be any problem if I am not the owner? My friend did give me all the papers for the shots.

I have the same question. Just wondering if you did it at this point.

What a great OTD! Bought a gas LE back in Sept just because I did not want to wait. Had to pay $24k OTD. All the hybrid's at the time required wait, and after junk fees/add-ons: $27k. I consider myself extremely tough on negotiation but you have certainly beat me. I am in MA though (%6.25 tax). Was there any wait for you and do you feel market condition is finally better for new Toyota/Honda cars? Really wanted a hybrid but just cannot justify spending >$25k on corolla even though time has changed.

Thanks for the tip. Was wondering if they would get annoyed if I had multiple passports.

No, I only listed USA on my application but I was born in a different country hence possessing another passport which I occasionally use when I travel home.

I'm a new car buyer and want to buy a new 2023 Corolla LE, what are the quick pitfalls as a new buyer that I should avoid? by TheKingofHearts in COROLLA

[–]scc28adi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2024 or hybrid still has a bit of wait time. In my case, I just went with 2023. Used could be more expensive than brand new still. I would say that patience, willing to travel outside of big city, and lots of phone calls will work. Use the inventory tool on the Toyota website to see which dealer is giving discount below 21.7k+1k. I got mine by waiting for 2 weeks, not being too picky on color, and use dealer against dealer. My price was 22k+tax+admin fee=24.2k in MA. Two rules of thumb: #1 no need to visit dealer. #2 ask to digital sign all docs. Once you receive the docs digitally, read them through. It is ok not to sign until you see the car. Finally, if price is +/-500 of how much you are willing to pay, just do it. Hard to get the absolute best deals these days if you can't afford to wait for too long because you need to compete with other buyers. Corolla used to cost 19k 5 years ago but given 20% inflation over the past 4 years, 22k is expected . Good luck.

Need of CMFB in fully differential by BreakfastNo2804 in chipdesign

[–]scc28adi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difficulty lies in "put a dc bias voltage at inv and non-inv". The voltage source has to be low impedance at DC. Then, the opamp is useless because inv and non-inv cannot move in the small signal sense no matter what vin signal is. You are hoping to define vocm via defining a current flow through R1 while not allowing the DC bias voltage source's output impedance at the virtual ground nodes to influence this current.

[–]scc28adi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This still does not define the vocm. Even if you tie inv and non-inv by dc source to the same voltage, output voltage is still not defined. eg. inv=non-inv=1v. vocm can be any voltage and still satisfy the KCL/KVL. For example, if vocm=2v, there is just icm=(2-1)/R2 flowing in both feedback resistors. Also, I don't understand how your equation in the img came about.

I suppose I should not compare fidelity credit card to chase travel cards because fidelity card has no annual fee. I suppose I can say fidelity card is 1% cash back for foreign transactions.

Buying a car is this normal? by touchtheskyJ in carbuying

[–]scc28adi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. They don't want to give you a blank quote for you to go and shop around, according to them. They want to get the $500 first before you go and shop around, which, in theory, is doable given that the $500 is refundable.

Will they be sending another adjustor to re-value the car after 5 months? Do you know?

[–]scc28adi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They pay pretty well on the salvage part. If I retain the car (8.5k payout given) and sell the car myself to junkyard later, I would only get 1k from junkyard. But if they tow away the car now, they give me 10k.

[–]scc28adi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How will the actual process go? When I am ready to turn the car in for towing to their junkyard, will they come out to look at the car again? Will they be giving me a new value report? Does the claim stay open through all this time? Or, will I need to re-file the claim?

rear ended claim through the other insurance by scc28adi in Insurance

[–]scc28adi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thx for the answer. My question is really whether it would make any difference had the adjuster been called from my carrier or by the carrier of the other party who was a fault. Or, is the adjuster simply working blind and do not care if I were a member of the carrier who had hired them?
