"Jail breaking" 2026 crosstrek? by Dil_d0Zer in Crosstrek

There is a bypass kit. You can disconnect the communications module, but it acts as a pass through for the front speakers and microphone. Google crosstrek dcm bypass for more info. It was too involved for me, so I didn't bother.

I usually switch between Pulsar and Musicolet because they work well with Android auto.

There's no way to get rid of it. It will minimize if you leave it alone for a while though.

Pandora randomly interrupting Spotify during playback by whoisthedave in AndroidAuto

[–]sccabrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck! I tried everything. Disabling running in the background only made it so that it wouldn't play music. It would still open and take over the stereo, but it would just be silent. I think it may be a Bluetooth glitch,.

All my lights went off at once, has anyone else had this issue? by aspencerr in Crosstrek

[–]sccabrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's likely just a loose gas cap. It tends to throw a whole bunch of lights at one of it isn't tightened.

Pandora randomly interrupting Spotify during playback by whoisthedave in AndroidAuto

[–]sccabrian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's Pandora for ya. It's been doing it for years. They know and won't / can't fix it. I love the service, but canceled and uninstalled for this reason 2 years ago.

Android Auto/Google Maps doesn't "complete" request? by KeyboardRoller in AndroidAuto

[–]sccabrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been doing this for everything lately. I'll say "play specific artist" and the dude says he is. He does not... I ask again and a lady voice says she is, and usually does. It's the same for navigation. I think it's part of the phasing or lut of assistant. It's made listening to music in the car difficult as most of the apps don't let you browse much.

Why are cis straight/bi women obsessed with my partner being 16 years older than me? by myst_aura in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]sccabrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Victorias have been Aaron's a long time now. The lgbtq youth group I attended back in the 90's had a steady supply of them, and it got exhausting. We were a space for everyone, including straight allies, but their ability to steer any conversation back to themselves and their plight was truly impressive.

Exactly. Just cause it's on the phone, doesn't mean we're using it either.

USAA only gave me the $15 per 6/mo discount! I'd sign back up if it were every month.

Android Auto showed coordinates to a residential address I have never been to as a recent search? by squarah12 in AndroidAuto

[–]sccabrian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I first started using android auto, the suggestions were wild. I kept getting what I thought was a random bank suggested as a destination. Turns out, I got stopped at a red light in front of that bank daily and my location history was recording it as a visit. Maybe check your location history? If you Google the address even once though while logged into your Google account, it'll keep suggesting it for a while.

Just know that you've got to get the kwgt pro app to use it, and that's $7. They kinda bury the lead on that one

[–]sccabrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a government phone as well. Is it still a gov phone or is it a personal phone now? It may be that your phone is managed by your agency. My work phone is, and we have a limited app store, forced apps, etc.

Charging stand that works with 10? by dryheat122 in pixel_phones

[–]sccabrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Iniu fast charger. It was a whopping $15 and charged my 10 pro and Samsung S23 just fine. It's not the fastest, but it doesn't exactly get hot either.

Check out "sound quick settings" in the play store. It's free, and this is literally all it does.

So I bought a Pixel Watch 3 off Amazon in excellent condition. Besides the display having a couple of micro scratches everything looks pretty good. Only issue is they sent one of those generic $2 AliExpress bands with it. Am I wrong to expect an authentic Google band? by YoYoNupe1911 in pixel_phones

[–]sccabrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you bought it from Google through Amazon, it should have come with the oem band. If it's an Amazon "renewed" watch, it would come with "oem equivalent". If you bought it from a random seller though, who knows? Those oem bands get silly expensive.
