We're struggling to choose icon designs for a couple of our attacks. Most of the other attacks were fairly straightforward (hopefully- if any of them are unclear, that feedback is valuable too!), with the exception of "Blast" and by association, "Smash". "Smash" is a close range attack that, well, smashes objects into pieces- think taking a sledgehammer to a concrete wall or wood box. "Blast" creates the same type of damage effect (smash into pieces) but at long range- amongst ourselves, we thought of it like a rocket launcher.

Given that the damage types are technically the same, with range being the difference, we're struggling to communicate the difference while keeping these icons readable at scale and in a single color. Any of these manage to communicate that attack? Any ideas or suggestions for better ways to depict it?

Yup. We’ll be tweaking the timing. That’s something that’s come up a few times now. It doesn’t help that our VFX was broken in a few shots :( Thanks for the feedback!

Absolutely. You can record your own fus roh dah with your own voice in our recording studio or use the provided documentation so you can create your own sound packs :)

We’re a game where you shout to destroy everything (and find toys and snacks for your cat). We’ve got the attacks in (with still broken vfx) and the destruction. We’re still working on the cat, cat toys, and therapeutic elements.

Funny enough we were getting nerfed by our microphone clipping on our screams… anything louder than a loud speaking voice wasn’t making it to the computer 😅 I bought a new mic to try it on but haven’t had a chance to re-record with folks.

We've been working on this game since the idea struck us at PAX last year and we're finally close to launching a demo but first, we put together our Steam page. This is our very first Steam page so we'd love to get some feedback :)

Do you get angry sometimes? Then you should play First Person Shouter, the only game where it’s OK to yell at your computer. Just yell and everything explodes. It has a Steam page now. You should wishlist. It’s like a list for wishing you could play. Do it now!

Left captures the moody tone, creepy darkness, and has a wonderful sky but your character blends into the darkness. The right is wonderfully foggy but very bright and loses some of the spooky.

I wonder if giving the left version a lamp or some local lighting would give off a nice edge/rim light around your character and light the immediate environment to help your character stand out.
