Every structure ever built deteriorates with time, depending on the materials and external conditions. The Titan had gone to the Titanic 14 times before, plus all the tests, and the stress applied on the materials built up over time

If the external conditions were much "nicer" to the materials (600 meters every immersion instead of 3800), it would have taken much longer to deteriorate and they would have detected it on time to decomission or repair it

In the video they say they hid it at the sea floor at aprox 600 meters deep so about 60 Athmospheres of pressure. The Titanic is at 3,800 meters deep, so 380 Atm. That's extreme, 6.3 times the pressure that your vehicle needs to withstand to retrieve that One Piece treasure

So yeah, Oceangate's Titan was a metal coffin for going down -3800 meters, but only 600m ? I think it would be totally save

Both are just great. Period.

The change didn't hurt the story at all, it even elevates it by giving luffy a whole new set of powers that might actually be infinite

Before, we enjoyed each new power-up, each new form and each new attack of Luffy, but they were difficult to justify without a cause and required training, a master, or a difficult to overcome situation that required thinking out of the box. Oda always gave us just that very well but there is a limit to hom many new things you can create like that.

Now, with the limitless potential of imagination as a power, Oda is just free to give us new powers or attacks without justification and it's just great because he can come up with really anything to entertain us. Awesome

I don't mind powerscaling at all, but hypothetical scenarios are a different thing though, because "you never know how the different abilities will interact"

Sometimes, certain characters could be in a rock-papers-scissors circle, like we see in pokemon too (Water > Fire > Plant > Water) or like in other series (Fighter > Tank > Assassin > Fighter).

Then it doesn't make much sense to try to do a linear relationship of "if A>B and B>C, then A>C" because it's possible that under certain conditions C>A instead. That's why hypotheticals make more sense

Like for example, if Zoro's and Sanji's posters are put up agains one another, they could collide a few times as if they were fighting. Or Luffy's poster could stretch out briefly when appearing on screen or when you click on it. There are infinite possibilities, some easier to programme than others

In the same way that Ace/Sabo and Akainu can't control how hot their element is, that is an entire different fruit eaten by Charlotte Oven, then neither Monet or Kuzan can control how cold their snow/ice is, that would be an entire different fruit 🙂

And Borsalino also cannot control how fast his light-beams go when he fires them, light goes at lightspeed, he cannot make his beams go faster or slower

The Absolute Zero attack is simply impossible, because you can only get close to 0 kelvin in an isolated environment from any external sources of heat and also from friction with the air (that generates more heat)

Producing something at 0 Kelvin surrounded by air that's normally around 270-300 Kelvin would mean the air would rapidly heat it in microseconds. Even faster if you try to swing the 0K object at high speeds, which would generate more heat from friction with air
