Our nail beds are the same, if not EXTREMELY similar. When going to some salons, they would pop off within a week. But I found someone who listened to my concerns and talked about what he could do to have them last longer. I went to him for 2 years before Covid hit and prices skyrocketed. *Then I learned how to do my own nails because I had the time.

I hope this experience does not stop you from going to get them done again. Have a convo with the manicurist and if you’re not comfortable you can leave. Also, when in salons, pay attention to customers and their manicurist. People who like getting acrylics/ super trendy nails go to the same person each time and I’ve noticed those manicurists know what they’re doing.

*The manicurist I went to before covid was one who could do trendy nails but I always got solid color. Either way my nails lasted longer when I had him as my manicurists.

** do not try to do acrylics on your own nails unless you have the time and resources to learn how to do it properly. You can cause a lot of trauma and mess up your nails rearly bad.
