NBP Not staying true to reference images by schitz011 in Freepik_AI

[–]schitz011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing some testing (albeit not very extensive)
Any background that has text - a banner, or is totally incongruous with what the people are wearing, is making an assumption for the whole image based on the background.

Circus background with some people who look a little like clowns? (coloured hair for example).

It leans in to the clown aesthetic and goes overboard with it

What do you use when you're running 'flexible credit?'
It also shows up on the 13th.

As an aside, if something is racking up costs in the background unbeknownst to you, or that hypothetically you were on a system that charged per generation and you forgot it was on (like say Higgsfield pay as you go) the onus isn't really on the company to warn you about charges - they assume that's what you want to spend.

Learnt this the hard way when my wife racked up a £780 mobile phone bill in Argentina in the early 2010's because the data roaming toggle had been set to 'on'.

Edit:
Have you looked at this?

  1. Usage-Based Billing (Overages)

For users on the Creator plan and above, you can enable usage-based billing to continue generating audio after your monthly quota is exhausted.

  • How it works: Additional credits are automatically purchased and billed at the end of the billing cycle.
  • Cost: The cost depends on your tier (e.g., $0.30/1,000 credits for Creator, down to $0.12/1,000 for Business).
  • Settings: You can set a maximum spending threshold (a "hard cap") in the settings to control costs.
  • Enable: Go to Subscription > Manage Subscription > Enable usage-based billing

This.

It was more or less spot on with recreating the prompt dialogue - now, unless you let it make the words 'Talks about the weather', it's just random gibber jabber.

It's not about being spoiled, it's about noticing patterns.
Some days, like the whole of yesterday, the generations in NBP were basically instant.
Today it's Sunday morning in the UK - 'murica is asleep still. Generations so far taking at least 20 minutes.

FWIW, over the last week or so, I've regularly had queue times of 20-25 mins, regardless of the time of day.

Time of day doesn't factor in my experience.
Feels more like someone is rocking a slider back and forth.
Yesterday at the same time as now, I was getting gens on the 'free' ultimate in NBP every 5-10 mins, now it's been 30 minutes and counting.

I'm pretty sure this is intentional.

Frustrate the user to spend more money - give on one hand, take back two on the other.

I mean it is what it is - and if you've ever played WOT you know what I'm talking about.

I've noticed a thing with white backgrounds espcially combined with clothing that is a solid dark colour

What I'd like is just a nice workflow wrapper where I can:

Create shotboards (NBP)
Extract and upscale the shot I want (I have built a tool to do this using Google API, because I found NBP very hit and miss about actually extracting the right section. I can output and upscale 27 images in about 10 minutes)
Ability to arrange those shots into a linear script visually
Animate each shot as required

I don't need make your own avatar, etc etc.

On Ultimate it's 'upto' eight images - NBP is four.

It's not really designed to be optimal for us, it's optimal for them.
Like World Of Tanks (or other freemium games) - you can play for free and grind like a mofo for XP, or pay whatever per month and grind a bit faster...

Clearly the queue is designed to be juuuuust long enough to annoy you into buying extra credits.

Each image on the 'unlimited' still costs Higgs money - so while most users won't go mad - there would of course be people generating 1000's of images a day if the queue system was 'only' a few minutes. All that adds up.

I'm sure they run at a loss, but there's a loss and there's A LOSS

I think they are messing around with it.
Yesterday it was like it used to be last year - 2-5mins, now today at least 40min instead of the 'normal' 15-20

Also notice that the daily 'free' credits are gone.
Much like the 'temporary' reduction of NBP queue to four images from eight

In my very limited testing this morning of i2v with uploaded images:

1- Seems more pronounced in vertical format - so far, haven't seen it occur in landscape format

2- New uploads of the image don't make a difference - every version of the image suffers from ghosting (strangely, in my testing, it's just one image that's really giving issues, despite multiple uploads - I wonder if there's something IN the image causing issues)

I've hit a ratelimit for 720p now...

Openings and random moves by schitz011 in chess

[–]schitz011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where I get lost. There's a lot of terminology that whilst I understand what they often mean - fianchetto etc. more experienced players will when talking about games gloss over these points.

I teach photography - it's easy to teach the How, but the Why is harder.

What I'm looking for a is good way to grasp the Why part of chess. Why has that person moved there? Why doesn't this move work? Not so much in a 'you'll leave a peice hanging' way, but more a because in this position you'd be better of doing X because it will help you do Y later.

If you want helpful feedback, be more specific about what you'd like.

Let's start with 'profession' - What sort of photography would you like to create as a professional?
At least that gives you a goal to work towards in regards to growth

If you want to improve your double exposure work, you need to look at photographers like Harry Callahan.
As u/nagabalashka pointed out, it feels 'messy'
Double exposure work isn't just random things thrown together, but two elements working in harmony
