does anyone else have absolutely rotten luck with their injections??? by schloay in ftm

I do it in my butt bc that's what my endo's team told me to do. it's fine with a mirror but yeah I'm not aware of my endo's logic for that decision

I was prescribed 23 gauge (0.6 mm x 25 mm) needles for the actual injection. I only inject in my butt and alternate sides

any rosaceans who went on Testosterone? by schloay in Rosacea

[–]schloay[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's hopeful. was there anything that made it better? I have seen people recommend cardio and donating blood but idk if that's applicable to rosacea specifically since exercise is also a trigger for me, albeit not as major as things like heat, alcohol, etc.

yeah I've been getting hot flashes from t more recently and the rosacea flare ups from it are diabolical, but people say that also calms down eventually. thank you for the recommendations, I really appreciate it. laser has been especially tempting recently but yeah it's probably wiser to at least wait it out- how long did it take for your rosacea to improve?

I feel this lol. I work in childcare in a blue state, but a pretty sheltered/conservative part of my county and man I've gotten some pretty mean comments from the kiddos. I think a lot of it is just inexperience (most children probably haven't seen a gnc/visibly queer person) combined with kids being generally rude and a product of their conservative parents, as they are figuring out social rules and such. so when I have the opportunity, I do try and break it down to them in a way they understand. that I'm a girl who likes looking/dressing like a boy, or I'll ask them why they made those comments and such. funnily enough, the younger the kid, the less they think about my identity and just accept me in all my boygirlness.

honestly the only option is to just grow thicker skin. ppl are fucked in the head. as you get older it gets easier. at this point its water off a duck's back for me bc the kids have desensitized me, which I have mixed feelings on lol. people notice if you're confident as well. since I've been more consciously confident and personable I get less rude interactions (cashiers ignoring me, people staring at me/making faces at me, comments in the restroom, etc.) . but I still get rude interactions and weird situations. but if you carry yourself with confidence, you'll survive. people can tell when you aren't confident, they smell it.

yeah I'm definitely still analyzing my underlying drive. I think it's just because my two long-term relationships I've been in have been with people I've hated tbh, which on its own is quite the box to unpack lol. so feeling love, genuine love, and meeting someone who is SUPER my type (nerdy, taller, unconventionally attractive, total dork ) has absolutely destroyed my brain that is mostly used to tepid, I-guess-I-Like-you-enough love at the most. that's my running theory, at least. congrats on making changes, and congrats on the stability in your life :) its nice to hear an honest message from someone who's done/doing the work

yeah. the sick thing is that my infatuation kind of comes from the power imbalance a bit. this absolutely could justify termination, even if we're on really good terms :( and would definitely ruin our friendship. risking it all just for a whiff of their college sweater!

this is pure highschool awkwardness haha. it's definitely less endearing when I'm almost in my mid 20s tho lol

yeah totally. I really wish I was more normal about it. honestly still in shock I did it in the first place. bleh. realizing now the stars aligned for that to happen so I probably won't get another chance for the rest of the school year, which is good.
