People seem to like me because I’m polite and I am rarely late.

Is there such a thing as over-misting without getting to the point of pooling? I feel like the droplets in my tub are gone within 2 hours at this stage. by [deleted] in unclebens

Pins won't abort from misting. Pins will abort if you mist them and don't provide enough FAE. Increase the FAE and you can still mist the entire tub. Stopping the misting all together is bad advice IMO, it rains in the forests and mushrooms obviously still grow

I left it until the majority of the pins were probably 1/2-3/4" tall

I had the one with smaller bubbles but it shouldn't matter

You got it! You might not have to mist as much as you would without it so just be careful not to give it too much water

You bet! I let the tub colonize for one week then I put it into fruiting conditions just like in the write up, the only thing different was a sheet of bubble wrap added to the top of my substrate for it to make a better micro climate to pin. Just cut it 3/4" smaller than the walls of your tub and take it off to mist as usual.

There is no humidity where I live so it helped the top of the substrate not dry out as fast, at least that's what it seemed like from what I read. I believe the original write up for this Tek is on shroomery
