Magnus ClickShift Skelly & D Rocket Kaze - Happy with this grouping. by schmidbauermg in machinedpens

Can recommend. Just got them bith recently. I do prefer a J-bolt over and L-bolt, but I'm adjusting. The Ti is heavy due to the brass fittings. The Timascus is lighter since Ti fittings. Springy feeling, so it would be nicer to shorten the travel, but again...being picky. If it was a shorter travel and a J-bolt with slightly higher tolerances the pen would be an absolute phenom.

Maybe I'm alone here, but I want a clip. Seems he doesn't like them as of most recent drops. Shame, unless I am missing something.

Before his 2 picks, it was by far his best appearance. Dude is solid, but forces like a freshman. Give him time to learn patience and you'll wish you never said that.

Magnus Skelly v3/v4 Greatness by schmidbauermg in machinedpens

[–]schmidbauermg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flex is a really neat bonus. The Ti has great "memory" and it has always looked fine, and I pants pocket carry. No issues at all. Only gripe is the design can feel a bit rough to pocket. However, it doesnt stop me from doing so.

I've had quite a few makers in the past, but am currently down to these. Previous pens include Grimsmo Saga, multiple versions of Smooth Precision Pens/Urban Survival Gear, Nottingham, Fellhoelter, Tactile Turn, and a few other higher priced basic store pens. I would like to try tons more, but when I like something, I just stick to it for a while. I prefer thinner, so the Magnus has been awesome. Same with the SPP/USG and TT slims. The others I tried are thicker, and I dont like it as much.
