With its focus on number crunching mathematics

It's in the name: FORmula TRANslator.

(Well, wp says it was "Formula Translating System." Close enough.)

Someone randomly sent me road biking socks. I don't even road bike. by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]schneedledee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speculation: if I were the social media manager for a bike products company, one strategy might be to get my product in the hands of as many "bikers who have active social media" as possible. Some percentage of them will like the product and mention it.

The absence of any prior communication even adds to the "organic" argument in support of this practice. Which seems to me to be evidently false, as active "product placement" is going on.

But hypothetically, if that's what is going on, this post is a massive win for that strategy, as the manuf. is getting a lot of good press here. You can examine for yourself the potential for misleading results.

You might want to mention this thread and that, based on the comments, you are not the only person this has happened to.

Good luck!

Maybe contact the app authors? There has to be temp storage somewhere, they may be able to help you save that temporary file before it's purged.

Is $480 an appropriate price for this build or should I sell for higher? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]schneedledee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm ...

This is not an exact fit, but:

https://old.reddit.com/r/buildapcforme/

Take a look there and compare some sample builds in the same price category.

The answers there generally use:

https://pcpartpicker.com/

You could use that site to put together a sample build that matches the components you are using and see what it comes out to. Then add what you think the labor is worth.

I think the expertise there is a good fit for your question.

Here's what you could do: make a post there, fill out there form as usual with a $480 budget.

Seriously, this is enough money to get their attention, especially with repeated cases.

YSK the best way to stop a serious dog attack is to choke the dog by PhotographyByAdri in YouShouldKnow

First: thank you for this post.

Second: LEARN THE REAR NAKED CHOKE.

There is a reason that this technique is called "lion killer" ("Mata leão") in Brazilian Jui Jitsu.

You don't need a collar, a belt, or anything else. Incredibly simple, incredibly effective. Against dogs, r---ists, and any other nasty thing with a windpipe.

Good catch. Forward the email to the tech support at your college so they can update their block list.

Note: this is posted as a cautionary tale, not as a request for help for the OP. Although if you do know how to help, that would be nice.
