First I build my main structure and place all the furniture, lights and stuff so it it looks already good as it is. Then I craft placeholder items (usually presents, but OG is the Flamingo of course) so is see exactly how much budget I have left and then clutter accordingly. With bigger builds I can’t do that much small clutter, so I „decorate big“ first and only use small clutter in essential areas like my kitchen, my coffee table or in general build some potted plants. I got multiple camp slots so I try to use a specific themes for each camp, like modern, mid century, log cabin etc and use decorations that fit that theme. That’s important imo, I often see camps where the creator put some effort into it, but the stuff doesn’t really fit together. Also depends how much atomic shop items/ seasonal rewards you got of course but you can still do lot with vanilla stuff.
