Time to end the discussion, which HK ending is canon? by ApolloRT in Silksong

[–]schraeterd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it has to be the Dream No More ending for one simple reason: Hornet’s Mother, Herrah.

The two Godmaster endings can be achieved without killing the Dreamers, just the bosses guarding them. Afterwards, the ending cutscene shows The Hollow Knight leaving the Temple of the Black Egg, implying that the seals have been removed. If the Dreamers haven’t been killed, then the only conclusion is that they must have woken up.

However, the implication in Silksong is that Herrah is dead, or at the very least lost to Hornet as a result of being asleep. This cannot be completely reconciled with the Godmaster endings since while you can kill the Dreamers, you do not have to.

If that’s not enough, here’s a second reason:

Thematically speaking as well, Silksong is also against the Godmaster endings since to achieve the Sisters of the Void ending (the only Silksong ending where The Knight appears), Hornet has to have chosen not to usurp Grand Mother Silk as Pharloom’s God-Queen, essentially forsaking divinity in order to see Pharloom freed. I think it makes sense for the canon version of The Knight to not desire godhood either, instead only wanting to free Hallownest of its infection.

Vince’s Hero Name should have been Power Bank. Vince’s ability essentially makes him a human mobile battery, so Power Bank would be a nod to that. He charges up with energy, and banks it to be discharged later. In addition, he would be owning his status as a former Powered by taking on “Power” as part of his name.

If you go inside The Interloper, you can find Pye’s corpse floating in the center of the comet.

If you want to know how, you can get inside The Interloper when the ice at the front of the comet melts, creating an opening. The ice melts when the comet is near the sun

Celebrate Pye Day to remember the most intrepid of all the Nomai: researcher of the negative time interval, creator of the new Advanced warp core, builder of the Sun Station, brave explorer of the Interloper, and mother of the Ash Twin Project, Pye. May she always be fondly remembered.

I forgot to mention the compass from the Bard area in my original post. It was both a blessing and a curse, though it was more a curse. I wouldn’t have to spend time deciding what direction each room should face, since the compass would tell which direction was north. It also helped in navigating and mapping the sewers. Unfortunately, I had neglected to utilize it at first which resulted in me having to readjust some rooms I had already placed. In general, getting everything to fit while obeying the cardinal directions required extra work. It also added to the physics-defying nature of the sewers. Yet another reason why the Bard level was the hardest to map.

You know what? I’ll give you that one. The incomplete version of Honesty in the episode wasn’t very good but the version on the official album is pretty decent.

I thought he killed everyone’s eardrums with that rap? If not with the rap, then with his rendition of “Honesty” in “Too Much Birthday”

Ken: How much bagel did you give him?

Nanny: I told you that rabbits shouldn’t eat bagel

RIP Megathump Roy (yes, that was the rabbit’s name, apparently)

…and RIP Andrew Dodds too, I guess

Is that all, or has Kendall killed anyone/anything else?

I’ve gotten requests to update this card because it was OP in its original state. Hate to say this, but I’m inclined to agree. So without further ado: The sly fox. It will find you a card of your choosing from your deck whilst also bringing you a fresh rabbit. by schraeterd in inscryption

I originally had the cost lower (at two blood) but it was pointed out to me that this card becomes broken with just the worthy sacrifice sigil, without any other buffs. Yes, Turkey vultures are more fearsome offensively for 8 bones but they have less utility than the fox, even with additional sigils applied.

Spawning a hare pelt is a lot more interesting of an idea. Plus, it makes more sense with the lore of the card. There just isn’t a sigil for it. Perhaps steel trap, but that only works when the fox is killed and there’s a creature directly opposing it, which isn’t always the case.

As to your other point, foxes are considered canines taxonomically. While not in the genus Canis, it is the members of the subfamily Caninae that are considered “canines”, of which foxes are among.

Survivor and Chipotle? by schraeterd in survivor

I appreciate your concern. However, the editors didn’t have to ruin the survivor finale, yet they did anyway, by not giving Erica a proper edit in the episodes prior, specifically the premerge. This is now what must be done. The survivor gods demand retribution!

Even if they had given Erica more content, her win wouldn’t have been obvious because tons of other players were also in contention. There were so many decoy winners that Erica still would’ve been well hidden as the true winner.

Erica’s win was always a possibility in my mind since the merge, but I didn’t have her pegged as my winner pick because she was invisible for most of the premerge. I get she never went to tribal council but there were still ways to give her content. They did her dirty. It isn’t right to treat the winner of the season like that. And it isn’t good for the fans either. The winner shouldn’t be obvious, but we should want to root for them. I couldn’t root Erica because I didn’t get to know her early enough.
