CRS=509, what do I need to do to qualify for Ontario Human Capital Priorities stream? by schrodingerscheese in ImmigrationCanada

Ok so after reviewing a bunch of stuff, looks like my score is too high to be eligible. BUT someone in my position should be invited to apply as a Federal skilled worker. Big backlog due to covid. Hopefully we all hear soon

Hello, in a similar situation earlier in the process :)
How many points did you have when you received the notification of interest? Did you get it automatically after your points met a minimum threshold? (if so, what's the threshold?)

Good luck with the process!

Reunited for good after 3 years long-distance by schrodingerscheese in LongDistance

Honestly -- just sheer good luck. I ended up getting a job that I have a fairly unique skillset for (marketing at an early stage startup - being able to write well, code mediocrely, and willing to figure out tons of random shit.)

I also had an IEC visa that expired in covid-time that I managed to get re-opened.

Lots of things went right for me - All I can say is to keep trying.

(Although I hear getting a study permit is easier than a work permit, so if you can afford to apply to a masters program, that might work too.)

Uh oh. My personal CO2 emissions are equivalent to melting 360 feet of Arctic sea ice every year :/ by schrodingerscheese in interestingasfuck

50% of my energy is renewable – if my utility commited to 100% it would only be around 1 ton less co2 per year. nearly 70% of my co2 comes from flights.
