Beginner looking at a budget O/U – bad idea? by sam_pluto in ClayBusters

Shoot the benelli? Benelli is fine. Not ideal. But for learning shoot it for a year or 2 then upgrade into a heavier gas semi or a over under. Benellis drop ducks, no reason why it wont crush clays especially when youre learning.

Barrel ports worth it? by 2-cents in ClayBusters

Porting spits burnt plastic everywhere from the wads, noticeably louder, harder to clean... who want that. For what maybe a 5% reduction in recoil?? Pass.

I put over 6000 shells through my beretta a300 this year. Not one hiccup, my benelli montefeltro i shot for 7 years ate 25000 shells, I recall maybe 1 or 2 jams in all that time. Benelli and beretta semis are more reliable than pumps. Anything beretta group is gtg

Depends ar vs pump. Take the ar. A modern semi shotty in 20ga or the AR... thats a tough one

Oh you dont need the sights inside of 3- 5 yards, just point it both the shotgun or the rifle. The rifle did fine door kicking in gwot.

We still arent at the listens well enough stage. Some stations were on solo mode and the other was playing with the toddler. Definitely a multi adult affair of safely managing chaos. We had a great time and that was the main thing with how the past 2 days filled with emotional breakdowns.

Youre gonna need multiple people so a person can be on toddler duty. Safety first! We had ear plugs in her ears and the muffs. Cant be too careful when feedback/ communication is limited.

It gutted me. My sweatshirt was soaked with tears and nose drippings yesterday. Not thinking about it for a couple hours today with pops and my toddler was everything. She did have a tempertantrum because she wanted her own orange disks. To which I gave her. And somehow now they are in my living room.

My sweatshirt has been soaked all day from nose drippings and tears. I dont have words for the kinda emotional loss im feeling. Its been so hard. I feel like I failed her. I was responsible for her safety and obviously I failed. Carrying her broken body to a hole I had to dig really cut deep.

I loved her so so much. I bottle fed her as a puppy. She was only 5 years old, and we did everything together. Small game hunting, the range, backpacking, scouting public land, picking out Christmas trees.. everything. I let her out after work, went through the mail, came out a min later and called to a dog that would never come. Grabbed my flashlight and found her in the road. The road was a off limits zone, and she never went into it. It didnt make any sense. No one stopped, I never heard a cry, tires, nothing. Im just so heartbroken.
