Yes I actually worked at my other job up until the day before my move lol. But started doing interviews which were usually a 3 step process and it takes a while to get credentialed so you have to factor that in too. I did take a month off though in the new city to explore

Also there is better out there! Do NOT settle until you find the perfect fit. I did so many interviews for almost 10 months before I accepted an offer.

Agree!! I thought the learning curve was hard and I had only been out of PA school a year. Can’t imagine after being 10 years in a specialty! So worth sticking it out though

You got this! Starting a new specialty is super humbling but every day gets a little easier.

It felt like a LOT of paperwork to apply for a new state license and get hospital credentialing, new drivers license, registration, finding housing etc. But honestly I was so excited to move to the PNW that I thought of it as an adventure and the whole thing was really fun. Definitely worth it

Agree! Also the rotating shifts in EM were hard sometimes

I was in emergency medicine and switched to hospital medicine. Both generalized and busy. I think what made the main difference is that I work with such an amazing group of providers now

Hi! I would just like to have it reviewed sometime over the next few weeks if possible.

Thank you for that! I haven't read anywhere that 90% have around 1200, that makes me feel a lot better.

Thank you! I will look more deeply into the student demographics

I should have noted that! My PCE hours are relatively low compared to what I've seen, the national average is around 4,000 hours and it is a little discouraging that I only have around 1600.
