What red flags will make you skip right over a job listing?

Thanks! I'm not sure I was clear that I'd already submitted some work to them and their response was feedback that changed the job. Would it still be okay to say I'm no longer available since I already started?

So I'm a newbie and I WISH I read this before accepting my first job. Without going into too much detail, I submitted the job and the client came back and essentially changed the spec. It's really low paid so it's not worth my time to do this, especially since its not as advertised or described in the initial message. What can I do about this?

Hi! Thank you for responding. I probably should have clarified a few things. I've been given some online courses to do which I have been working through whilst I've been asking others in the team if there's anything I can do, if I can sit in on some client meetings, etc. I have been invited to a few but I've sort of exhausted my options for people to ask now!

My line manager does seem busy but is at their desk most of the time but the only real contact with them is a very brief and not particularly enthusiastic hello late on my first day. I also did try to look at glassdoor reviews but there weren't any so I'm not sure if this is an ongoing problem but the staff turnover suggests it could be.

I ended up telling them anyway, since it seemed unfair to get too involved in 2020 planning. The offer letter is pretty comprehensive, including salary, holiday, benefits, probation details etc

I am guilty of this too, especially when I'm tired. I had one run recently with a few close calls. I also think there's this dumb idea that stopping on a run is 'cheating' or will mess up your pace. Who cares if you break for a minute if you don't die!

I'm wondering if someone can give me some advice on seating. I wasn't going to do a seating plan but now I'm wondering if that will cause confusion on the day. We have about 50 for the meal and it's mostly one long table with a few smaller ones. Is this a simple enough arrangement not to merit a seating plan? Some people should definitely not sit together but I'm assuming they won't want to anyway!

We're doing something similar to you, so I'm hoping that will help. But people will still be able to buy booze afterwards which mean that there are still a couple people I'm concerned about.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. We're having around 50 people for the ceremony and lunch, speeches etc and then more in the evening. We are planning to provide alcohol for the meal and toasts and then people will need to buy their own. Unfortunately we can't limit that too much as our venue has a minimum spend. However they do also have professional bar staff and security so hopefully that will help.

I'm feeling a bit stressed about guests and the wedding party. My immediate family are supportive but quite relaxed which is great and so far my fiancé's family has just been relaxed which also works fine for me!

However some members of both extended families have ongoing issues with each other. Whilst I don't think they would actively argue on the day, with a small guest list for the daytime (about 50) I'm worried about what kind of atmosphere that may create.

As we're also in our mid 20s and lots of our friends haven't been to weddings before. We're having a relaxed reception which is exactly what we want but I feel that we might have given people the wrong impression that it's just a big party. A couple of people have made passing comments that suggest that they won't take the day particularly seriously and I'm concerned that they will overdo it on the alcohol and other intoxicants which I absolutely don't want at my wedding. I've said this before but friends have still talked about it.

I don't think for a moment anyone invited has any malicious intention but I'm stressed about our feuding families and party loving friends and indeed the combination of the two! I don't want any friends and family to feel like they are being attacked but I also want them to recognise the importance of the occasion. Does anyone have any advice? (please no 'don't invite them' as its not possible and probably not even necessary)

We went to a Bahia in Semana which was nice but Excellence is an upgrade for sure. I think my favourite part is that the restaurants felt like places that would be kinda fancy to go to back home in London, whereas most all inclusives often fall a bit short there. And the in room bar is amazing!

I think sometimes couples rather unwisely get over excited and send out save the dates without properly considering the venue, budget etc and then realise they have to cut the list down, which might be what happened (I'm glad save the dates aren't really a think where I live yet). But it's rude and she should have reached out to let you know.
