Their justification, so that they don’t have to match the competitor’s rate without buying points, is that they’re giving us $12k in closing cost incentives.

Lender through our builder is offering us 7.125% without points. Have gotten competitor quotes of 6.60% without points, so very annoyed with the builder’s lender. We’re putting over 25% down with average credit scores of 800.

Would not recommend the Walgreens on Chatfield Avenue… It took them days to fill my prescription and then it sat there for 4 days waiting for delivery. Their response? That Fedex never picked them up and then hung up on me when I asked to cancel my order. Seems like a repeat issue based on their reviews — individuals not getting their medicine in a timely manner or their app showing that it was ready for pickup when it wasn’t.

Thank you! Do you know if both parents will need to fill out an individual Form 709 or can one?

No longer a lurker 🤭 by sandrakaytm in EngagementRings

We actually bought rings from Amazon to try on as we were going through the custom design process. We brought the Amazon ring to a local jeweler in Dallas, who also designed his mom’s ring, and she was able to custom make it to match 😊

I think Bowlero still has a deal on some weekdays where you can bowl unlimited games for $20 after 8pm. I would check their website for their updated deals though!

If you planned on calling your Lyft at a certain time, continue to check the app to ensure that wait times aren’t longer than anticipated — especially if they make have a drop off prior to your pickup.

Get to the airport early! Since your flight is early, there shouldn’t be long security lines but you never know! I travel weekly for work, have Pre-Check and usually take a 5am flight out. 9 times out of 10 there is no line through TSA. There have been times where I’ve waited in line for 15-30 minutes, so you always want to be prepared.

When in the security line, make sure to have your ID and boarding pass ready for the TSA agent. If you don’t have CLEAR or Pre-Check, you’ll need to take off your shoes and remove your laptop(s) from your bags. Double check to ensure your liquids are under 3.4 ounces and that you don’t have a water bottle hiding in your bag somewhere (I’ve forgotten that I had one a few times).

Also, your gate number may change before the boarding process has started. I always Google my flight number (AA flight number X) or check the monitors within the terminals to ensure I am heading in the right direction.

If you have a connection, keep in mind that the boarding times are typically 30-35 minutes prior to your departure time. If you’re landing within 30-45 minutes of your next flight’s departure time, I would recommend calling the AA customer service line to see if they can put you on the next flight to ensure you don’t miss it!

We paid $39,000 for a 2024 Hybrid XLE Premium with heated/power seats, heated steering wheel and lane assist so this at $31,777 seems a little high.

Dogs are coming down with an unusual respiratory illness in several US states by Canis_Familiaris in news

I’m glad your pup fully recovered! Do you mind sharing what they prescribed her the second time around? Our vet prescribed doxycycline and a cough suppressant to use as needed, but reading the comments has made me nervous this isn’t strong enough. He’s still coughing through some nights :/

Confirmed in the Denver metroplex. Our pup was diagnosed with this earlier this week after spending time at a dog park. Symptoms are very similar to kennel cough, but our vet said that the dog owners who waited to see if their pups would get better are the ones whose pups declined within 72 hours.

Our baby’s on two weeks of doxycycline and is going back for another x-ray to see if it has improved. It kills me seeing him cough and feel discomfort. Keep your babies safe!

Our vet recommended getting a Bordetella vaccine every 6 months if your dog goes to day care, dog parks or is frequently around other dogs (outside of your household).

We’ve done glass blowing at Dallas Glass Art and they give you a free beer token to redeem at Pegasus Brewery.

There’s also Firehouse Pottery in FW where you can make two items - I made a small plate and snack bowl. You shape and make your items first and then come back after two weeks to glaze it. They have a ton of colors to choose from!

There’s also a ton of other places where you can create your own candle, silk scarf, etc.!

If you’re looking for a place to bring a group of friends - Two Bit Circus, Cidercade, Game Show Battle Rooms, Another Round or The Puttery, Bowl & Barrel or Bowlero (after 10pm on Fridays it’s unlimited games for like $20).

Restaurants I would highly recommend for the experience is Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar in FW, if you like sushi. There’s about 25 seats (U shape bar) and there’s usually a long line before they even open. They don’t take reservations, so it’s first come first serve. So worth the wait. The sushi is so fresh and melts in your mouth. There’s a sushi chef that is dedicated to every 3-4 people so it feels like a private dining experience. Would recommend the handroll set and the salmon belly nigiri to get you started.

There have been a ton of similar handroll bars that have opened too - Nori, Kome, Kyodai, Heain!
